The Odell Beckham pick seems to be gaining momemtum. Todd McShay now thinks the Steelers like Beckham also and should go that way. Mainly because he's fast and can stretch the field and can open up the field on short routes. They also brought up Cook if Beckham isn't there at 15. Peter King disagree's and thinks the Steelers should go corner with their 1st pick.

What do you know about Cook, Bites? From the looks of things, the Steelers should be able to get a decent corner and receiver in the 1st and 2nd round. I would wait to see who falls to them before I make a decision on the 2nd round......

  3. With as deep of a class this is and the fact that receiver isn't a huge hole I see no reason as to why they should take Beckham at 15. I honestly am not sure he is a round better than an Adams, Matthews, Robinson or now Benjamin.

I agree and all these early corners and recievers flying off the boards is laughable. At some point between 15 & 46
There will Be 5 OL taken. Plus a mini run on QB is possible in tne 30's. Some team will draft a RB in that gap also . possibly a few safeties like Ward and Buchannon could go early second. Yankey & Sia '-Filo (1-2 OG) offer more value than the .6th & 7th best WR.

I'm GMing the Steelers in the second Unofficial Mock collaborative draft

Round 1 15 Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State

Round 2 46 Martavis Bryant, WR, Clemson

Round 3 comp Daniel McCullers DT Tennessee

Not my best draft, but I'm alright with it considering no trades were available in this.

    Thoughts?

Like round 1 and 2 - would be a nice way to start..

McCullers - I wouldn't draft in any round... dont like him.

    enjoy,

    I wouldn't touch McCullers until
The end of day 3 then maybe he's BPA pick I would have made: i have DaQuan Jones 2-3 full rounds ahead of him

Keith Wenning Ball State 6'2" 220lb http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/keith-wenning?id=2543784 Not the best review but, fractures ankle in season ending game and returns for the bowl game? This guy is a player. I think he will work to be good. It almost sounds like the draft report on Tom Brady they replay every year. Not included in the review is, throws well on the run and good ball placement for run after the catch opportunities. This sounds like a guy who can come in and win a game if necessary. His upside might be Charlie Batch but that also might be his downside too.
Finished third best yardage season in the Mid-American conference history, ranking behind Ben Rothlisberger and Byron Leftwich.

So Smell Diaper Jr. has Anthony Barr as the 22nd BPA, what an assclown. Also he has 8 WR in his top 30. Who in their right mind, with any knowledge of the draft process actually buys his steaming pile of horse crap? NO NFL TEAM WOULD EVER HAVE 8 WR IN THEIR TOP 30/100. This is why he works for ESPN and I watch NFL network. I realy do not care he sold a bazillion books or has more money than I'll ever count, The man beyond clueless. oh and he has Allen RObinson 83rd best overall... ROFFLMFAO.

Jimmy Clausen... Hey Mel how did that work out you @sshole. :D

Kiper is ESPN's draft Guru, that is why I watch the draft on NFL network. We would be stuck watching this guy spew steaming piles of crap if it wasn't for that.

Best anniversary gift that could ever be given.

I got to go to the Giants vs. Steelers game at MetLife in 2012 as an anniversary gift last time. I need to make sure my wife goes. Steelers always win when she goes with me. We were supposed to go last year but it didn't work out. Hopefully it happens this year!

Good article on Brandin Cooks. I really think he and Beckham could go early 20's or thereabouts. But I just don't buy this drafting 7 -8 WR in round one crap that the likes of Gel Man is calling for. Again the value in the 20's is for the 2 top OG in this draft, Sia'-Filo and David Yankey. ALWAYS DRAFT THE PROSPECT AT THE TOP OF THEIR POSITION. With all the Blitz schemes and teams stacking the box, good guard play is essential to getting first downs. The game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage.

How do we get you and your wife tickets to all 16 games?

The draft is two weeks away.

If Evans, Gilbert, and Dennard are all gone by 15 what do you think the Steelers should do.

  20. steelersking M.V.P. Steelers

CJ Mosley or maybe even Benjamin or Ebron...hoping it doesn't come to either of those two though. But at least one of Dennard, Gilbert or Evans should be there at 15.
