SB, while walter did say season, I'm thinking since he was talking specifically about Ike that after their 2nd game the yardage Gordon accumulated was the season high at that time, which only lasted until the next game.

Also, at least later in the season Ike did not blanket the #1. He just played his half of the field. So any high numbers were a team failure... but we all saw that Ike had a poor season. He did the same 2-3 years ago but rebounded nicely the following year.

I have updated my personal list of team needs as CB, WR, and FS. I expect all to be addressed in FA and the first half of the draft.

Ike can still play in a lesser role. I don't get in to any of the yardage totals because on two occasions I can specifically remember the safety biting on an underneath route and I know there were more. Ask more of Cortez, less of Ike and you have a nice secondary. He just needs to accept a significant pay cut.

If anyone can find some film on Walt Aikens please let me know. Really intrigued by this guy. 6'1", 205lbs and everything I read says he can run, change direction and hit. Reminds me of when Cortez Allen came out. I was able to eventually find some film of Cortez and he looked like a great third day prospect. I'd like to get my eyes on Aikens.

    I did find this...

Right now Drafttek has one of the best mocks for us,

    Dennard
    Ford
    Terrance Brooks - FS
    Jeoffrey Pagan - DE
    DaVonte Freeman - RB
    Jeff Janis - WR

Not huge on the Pagan and Janis picks but the rest I'd be very happy with.

I think Ford will be a combine freak and his stock will soar after it.

They have josh Mauro being picked ahead of Taylor Hart, they have Hart lasting till the 5.........Don't see that happening.

I know most likely we'll be getting a 3rd round comp, but we also have the thanksgiving night fiasco looming over our heads too, in which they could still penalize us in someway for. Who knows what they'll do or if they'll do anything. It's not like the NFL made it clear that the fine was it, they said quite possibly they could take away a draft pick(s) and left it hanging over us like a big black cloud.

SB - I also read that Colbert is quoted as saying a good year to move back in the draft and pick up more picks... Will be interesting....

    enjoy,

    one of the idiots

The Pittsburgh Steelers are allowed to meet with 60 players for 15 minutes each at the 2014 NFL Combine this week and while we will never know the full list of players they met with, a few names have started to emerge.

According to Jim Wexell of Steel City Sports on Twitter, Florida State wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin and Mississippi wide receiver Donte Moncrief have both said they are scheduled to meet with the Steelers.

Benjamin reportedly measured in at the combine at 6 foot, 5 inches, 240 pounds and has 34 7/8 arms to go along with a 10 1/4 hand size.

Benjamin, an underclassmen who declared for the draft after FSU won the National Championship, caught 54 passes for 1011 yards in 2013. His 15 touchdown receptions led the ACC and ranked tied for third in the nation. He is currently projected to be drafted somewhere in the first round.

Moncrief reportedly measured in at the combine at 6 foot, 2 inches, 221 pounds and has 32 3/8 arms to go along with a 9 1/8 hand size.

Moncrief, who declared for the draft following his junior season, finished his Ole Miss career ranked third in school history in receptions (156), receiving yards (2,371) and receiving touchdowns (20) and second in 100-yard receiving games (9). In 2013 he registered 59 catches for 938 yards and six touchdowns.

Moncrief is currently projected to be drafted in the third or fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Didn't see it up here.. (Another Alabama failed medical)

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "several teams" have failed Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio on medical exams at the Combine.

Kouandjio has reportedly been diagnosed with an arthritic knee stemming from a "failed" college surgery. RapSheet indicates his medical is "ugly." It's been a rough few days for Kouandjio, who also demonstrated limited strength with 21 reps on the bench press, and ran a startlingly slow 5.53 forty-yard dash. Kouandjio may be staring at a draft slide into day three.

That's unfortunate, you never like to hear that kind of news about someone.

They must be thinking of Martin as a DE. His frame just isn't OLB material.

  16. Quew777 Franchise Player Manager Lions

His frame could put on another 25-30lbs and be a good 3-4 DE.

  17. Steelroc74 Franchise Player Steelers

He's listed as 270, so I'm thinking 15-20 lbs. Cam I believe plays at 285.

Mayock likes Pryor over Dix and he's the only analyst with balls enough to knock Clowney out of the top 5. . Told you he was da man

My two biggest predictions @ the combine. Manziel under 6' and Clowney will suck on the bench came true.

Moncrief has a quiet, good combine. 4.4 fourty, 39.5 vertical and 11ft broad jump. The Steelers will need to use a 2nd rd pick to get him. I doubt he falls out of the 2nd round at all.

  20. Quew777 Franchise Player Manager Lions

Shush you.. (Steelers would have to use a 1st round pick on him to get him)
