Nice right up SB, my concern with Bridgewater is his lack of arm strength, teams in Cold weather might lean towards someone with a stronger arm, during the cold/windy months you need a QB that's accurate but can cut through the wind, any idea how big the span of his hands are?

I keep hearing about his lack of arm strength. I have probably watched him a half dozen times and never saw an issue. He doesn't rifle the ball but he's got fantastic touch and timing. He's gonna be able to add 15-20 pounds of muscle to his frame over the next couple seasons.

That is a nice write up SB. Better than many of the "scouting" sites!

We got a 3rd, 5th & 7th rd comp picks awarded to us for the FA losses last offseason. I still think Keenan Lewis should have brought us a 4th at least. So we have 9 picks this year to use. It would be nice to work out a deal to move up to double dip in the 3rd or 4th rd this year, who knows the next Landry Jones might fall right in our laps.

Geez - I was hoping for another LS.... so we could watch the drama unfold in training camp as Warren and the Drafted LS dual it out..... Eggs-citement at its best.

    enjoy,

yeah why draft Earl Wolff, I mean Ryan Clark is done in Pittsburgh and who is your starting FS?? Robert Golden, um NOPE. I am telling you guys, Pryor is a god pick at 15, more physical and bigger than Bag of Dix.( ha ha)

If they draft a quarterback with any of the picks, I'll have a freaking cow man. 9 picks, I'd like to slide back in the second and pick up a third. If they don't then you will have picks 47 and probably 97. That's 50 players between selections, a round an a half. All the second round talent that slides to the 3rd will be scooped up and gone by the time day 2 ends. JMFO.

This would be ideal, would love to pull it off in the first though and draft Dee Brown, then receiver or CB in the 2nd.

Nope, sorry bb, I'm with ny on this one. Pryor would be a very good fit for this defense, in my opinion. Not sure the value is there at 15, but I think he has starter written all over him and Pro Bowl potential.

Didn't we thing the Maurkece Pouncey pick was "too early" ? If you can draft a future starter and pro bowl caliber player, I really would not worry about what the pundits think. I've got a 20's grade on him, 15 is not really that far off. I am just not buying into the whole "everyone that comes from Alabama is a stud" mentality. Dix is good, Pryor will be great, and he's a better fit. JMFO.

  11. manosteel9423 Franchise Player Steelers

No, I agree with you. Pryor, to me, qualifies as a potential "stud" in the secondary and I would have no issue with taking him at 15. The question, though, is who else is there? Would we want him over, say, CJ Mosley? Or, Darqueze Dennard? Or, on offense, what if Mike Evans is there?

When it came to Pouncey, we were all upset about the pick partially because we thought it was a reach, but also because there were guys like Brian Bulaga, Dan Williams, Kyle Wilson and Demaryius Thomas there that we liked better at that spot. Now, it has turned out that once again the Steelers knew better than we did, although Thomas would look awful good across from Antonio Brown, wouldn't he?

There's a whole lot of hype on CJ Mosley. Is he really that good? Maybe my hate of Alabama has effected my ability to evaluate him as a player. I'm not saying he stinks or anything but some sites have him ranked as a top ten talent.

Clinton Dix is another guy that I see as an Alabama player that I don't see as a top 10 or 15 talent.

Funny thing about my Alabama hate is I like AJ McCarron more than many of the sites with player rankings. I'm not saying he's a can't miss player but he could end up being as good as a guy like Andy Dalton.

Ryan Shazier is a player that jumped off the screen when I watched Ohio State. He's a little light and might lose some of his quickness with 15-20 pounds of weight.

Chris Borland will probably go in the the second round and might end up being the best ILB of this draft. I've been saying it since mid season. He's not fast and he's short but the guy is always around the ball making plays when you watch him play.

A late round ILB that has already spent time in the 3-4 defense and been very productive is Uni Unga out of BYU. He is projected as a 6th round pick at best. I see a guy who could step in and play as well or better than Vince Williams did for the Steelers this season. He isn't overly big but he's not going to miss his assignment or get fooled.

  13. The Steelers have long been a proponent of staying put. If they want someone and don't think they will be able to wait around for him, they have gone up to get him. With (presumably) so much turnover on the roster, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steelers use all 9 of their picks. Sure, they have to wait a bit in round 3, but if they have a "guy" in round 2 they are eyeing, it's more probable they pull the trigger than falling back. The Steelers need some depth, but they are not in a desperate situation (no matter what the analysts say). I say, take 9 guys and hope that 7 make the team.

I like the length on Ross Cockrell I went with Huff as the WR, kid is very under-rated and a better pick than EJ Gaines whom
I also like. Two guys I like but weren't BPA: Aikens the CB out if Liberty and the big DT from Ark., State Ryan Carrethers .
