    1. Would love to get him in the first.
2/3. Can definately see us going wr/rb with these 2 picks once again a lot of the players at those 2 positions could very well be gone after this year.
    4. Maybe, only if Spence doesn't comeback at all this season/ could be a later pick? I'm thinking maybe DE here
    4. I'm thinking CB with one of the 4's
    5. OLB here
    6. OL
    7. TE

I think we're going to get 3 Comp picks next year.

I'm still miffed at the Landry Jones trade, we could've used that 2nd 3rd rounder next year, especially now that I'm hearing JPW is looking better than Jones.

Colbert knew going into the 2013 Draft that Mike Wallace would accrue to a 3rd rounder, and the 97th pick overall, so they just forfeighted thier 96th pick *DRINK* to move back one spot for a Safety that could untimatlely take Troy's roster spot in 2015.

Landry Jones SUCKS, terrible pick, it's not as bad as Bruce Davis but it's knocking on the door. Back in 2008 a bunch of us HATED that pick, I mean we were pucking fissed. Me and Truth and bb came up with the name Buster. Right around that same time, August 5 years ago, I started yapping about Mike Wallace.. 8) in the upcoming 2009 draft. All this craziness started in 2007, burghball got me intereted in the draft, the rest is history.

    NY,

Labriola was saying Billy-Bob-John-Wilson-Parker-Jr-SR-the 4th is ahead of Landry Jones.. has a better arm... sheez what a friggin garbage pick.. I still cant believe that one... reach-a-pottomus

and you guys will never hear the end of me telling everyone that Quinton Patton, Earl Wolf, Khaseem Greene still available. Also if you take Marcus Lattimore and PUP him, you got something better than a weak arm duck-chuckin' QB wasting a roster spot. Better yet cut bait with Dwyer and Batch and bring in Johnathon Franklin. Heck Jesse Williams was a better pick, or the other RB that could have stuck, Stepfan Taylor. *CRAZY*

I didn't like that pick when it happened. I think the Steelers could have got Shamarko with their original 4th round pick (115th). The way I look at it is they traded a third round pick next year for Landry Jones.

  9. True, but I think they expect to get a 3rd for Wallace, so ordinarily it would be like any other year getting one 3rd round pick.

And Jones ran the 1st team today and was said to look good.

Keep an eye on Tim Jackson, North Carolina. A DL player who can be a 5 technique. This will be on the NUSS network, 6 PM, August 29th. Worth watching because All-World top 3 pick, Jadaveon Clowney will be on the field. Yeah he's really good, but I want to watch guys like Jackson, and on the other side of the ball his team-mate, James Hurst the OT who will probably go against Clowney. Walter Football has Pittsburgh taking Hurst with the 20th overall pick. JMFO but that's reaching and the Steelers already have enough high picks invested in the OL. (Pouncey, DeCastro, Adams, Gilbert).

I still say he's a duck-chucking waste of a 4th rounder. Lately the 4th round has taken over for bad picks. Tony Hills, Alemeda Ta'amu, and how Jones. I don't think the Shamarko Thomas was a bad pick, but giving up next years 3rd, I dunno, wait and see. If Thomas gets concussed, you'll hear my disdain. If he turns into a great safety, I'll admit I was wrong about the shrimp salad.

    Today Trib quote:

Landry Jones, the former Oklahoma quarterback and a fourth-round pick, struggled to connect at times during spring practices, and he has yet to stand out during camp as he backs up Roethlisberger and Bruce Gradkowski. The Steelers hope to see more in game action.

?This is a guy that threw for 16,000 yards (16,646) or whatever in college. So the throwing of the football or the mechanics of the position, particularly in a practice setting, is not going to be foreign to him,? Tomlin said. ?But playing a game in a stadium with a live rush and those things, I think we're going to find out a lot about where he is after Saturday night.?

    He won't be alone.

But is what you find what you want to find ? We'll see, but most on this site think not. We would all be pleasantly surprised

Geno Smith looks pretty good, Larry Warford is a BEAST, and he moves much much better than the jackwads at ESPN predicted. Caught a minute of ESPN, channel was on, Mark Schlerith contiues to be the voice of reasoning in a sea of Vinegar and Water.

Landry Jones very first play resulted in a Safety, 'nuff said.

I could have lived with David Quessenberry, OT depth.

2014 will be another draft with 5-6 OL in round one.

Jake Mattews, Taylor Lewan, Cyrus Koundjio, James Hurst, Gabe Jackson, Xaveir Su'a-Filo are some of the names out there. Interesting on how David Yankey does, they slid him into LG after playing LT in 2012, he was up and down.

Re Quessenberry - one of the kids I was liked.. one reason is position flexibility - played all 5 spots on the line...

Oh well.. got to find this same type of player in next years draft... I dont remember where he went in the draft But I really liked that OC from CAL... Schwenke.. Could have played a nice backup role for a year or 2...
