I got 2-3 names that stand out for me next April, I still think ILB will be addressed. I think OLB is good with depth, Foote cannot play forever. Sure Spece may heal, and well Vince Williams appears to be promising, I still like another thumper in the middle.

    Max Bullough - Michigan State
    Greg Blair- Cincinatti.

Bullough is an animal, and Blair is about the same size as Levon Kirkland coming out of Clemson back in the day. And Blair can drop, that's a plus.

A wild card, a guy I saw a lot of before the Big East dismantled, was DeDe Lattimore, this kid was all over the field.

    NY,

Wasn't there another Big Ten ILB that we saw last fall too? Maybe from Wisconsin - might be he's a little slow -but if I recall - another thumper...

    enjoy,

Yeah Borland's the kid I was thinking of - didn't know he was 5'11"..... - the other kid I like is also out of the old Big East - Preston Brown from Louisville.. He's another to watch this fall..

    enjoy,

I got CB for the board you should grab ILB it's a good class.
I also think they dip back into WR in April, maybe for on e they draft a Pitt player. Passed on Marino, passed on McCoy. Etc.

Seriously what does Walter Football smoke, they are taking a DT in the second round because Ziggy Hood and Cameron Heyward have not worked out. And in the first round they take James Hurst OT out of NC. Really? Again personally as the season unfolds, Cyrus Kouandjio is going to move up boards. First off we know he is better than DJ FLuker, who went 11th overall. I doubt Colbert goes OL or DL I am still looking at DB or WR. Not sure where the Steelers will be picking, but I like the S out of 'bama Clinton-Dix. on CBS Rang and Bugphuccer are slightly better. However, taking Austin Sefarian-Jenkins with his off the fieild stuff seems unlikely. He's definitely someone worth watching though in the upcoming season at Washington , kid has all the tools.

But back to mocks, very heavily dominated wth QB, CB, and OT almost to the point of lunacy. I keep telling people, eventually the market will be flooded, especially the way baseball card collecting went down. Supply and demand, once everyone had what they needed, their value dropped. You will always need QB and OT, but with recent drafts, some teams just may look at other areas of need. If your OL and QB are set, you may look elsewhere. Teams in the top 5 are always going to be looking at QB, because let's face it, that team sucks.

And I am going on record now saying Johnny Football is NOT going to be the greatest thing sinced sliced bread in the NFL. The consensus overall #1 pick is Teddy Bridgewater, and I find it hard to argue against it......... for now.

and expect a run on CB in the first round, starting in the teens. 8)

  13. Have to take all these national guys with a grain of salt. Heyward is perceived as a disappointment because he is stuck behind Hood and Keisel despite having high grades on performance. I doubt Adams starts out at left tackle. Gilbert is the stronger pass blocker between the two and Adams is the stronger run blocker.

Our biggest needs next draft is CB, Safety & ILB so these people can take their stupid mocks and shove them.

I think beach discussed this and I tend to agree. Although BPA is thier montra, they deviated from that with LeVeon Bell, JMFO. If we think along these lines and we are looking for startersin 2014 and beyond, then S, CB, and ILB make sense.

CB, historically they have taken two in round one in modern times. Woodson, and then his replacement Chad Scott. Cowher pushed and pushed for Ricardo Cougclough, and that ended up biting him in the azz. But if you look at the pool of players who will be within range or target, there are at least 4 CB that are possibilities. I think a lot of the ILB talk will hinge on a several things: Is Vince Williams as good as I thought he was coming out of FSU? Sean Spence will he ever heal, and will the light come on for Sly. Larry Foote has 1-2 years left. Right now the best player on Defense is Lawrence Timmons.

Shamarko Thomas was a solid pick, if he can avoid more concussions, great. Coach Lake can keep improving the secondary, but you are going to need a guy opposite Cortez Allen. Ike Taylor is winding down and I think 2014 he's going to be a cap casualty. Manny Sanders could also have a boom, bust, or medicre seasonk, I think WR is on the table as well.

Here are the players, at this point in the process, I think could be targets for the Steelers in the first two rounds next April. For now I am just scanning mocks and cherry picking.

    Louchez Purifoy
    Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
    Aaron Colvin
    Sammy Watkins
    Justin Gilbert
Ryan Shazier (as a big safety?)
    Mike Evans
Marqise Lee (pipe dream hope we don't pick that early in April)
    Andrew Jackson
    Ed Reynolds
Bradley Roby (yeah another Ohio State player)

Andrew Jackson? I thought these players were all about the Benjamins?

Looks like the Patriots have 7.5 in dead money locked up from a cap situation. ]:->

  18. I'm no Beach or ManO but I heard the Pats may be able to get that voided due to the circumstances of his release.

Very much true how much who knows but they will likely get some of it back as he will be found in breech of contract. anyone who doubts it should realize the Falcons got back some of Vick's.

I think its more of a BPA at an area of needs. This past draft they definitely drafted positions of need.
