At best, he is the #3... So really.. this isn't a big deal.. except for using the pick on him.... yeah a double down on WR - or wasn't Barrett Jones still on the board also?

    enjoy,

  2. Justin Brown is a guy I'm really going to be watching. Both he and Moye have size, which they will need after this year, and I would bet one or both push for a spot next year after Cotchery and Burress are gone.

The Steelers have no intention of playing L. Jones this year. I'm not willing to say it's a wasted pick considering their intentions.

Jones reminds me of Philip Rivers. That's both good and bad.

I'm not high on Justin Brown and don't think he'll amount to anything. I'm harder on that pick than I am on the Jones pick.

  4. I'm still one of the few that liked picking Jones. I mean don't get me wrong, I thought the 4th was a pretty big reach for him but if they get the 2009-11 Landry Jones I think they landed a good QB. I know Fear watched every snap he played for four years and seems to be pretty high on him. And college fans can be pretty harsh on QBs, ask any Pitt fan that watched Sunseri *WALL*

Reading the mini camp Reports, Jones should have went undrafted. *WRITE* yeah he sucks out loud, a 4th rounder with some real nice talent sitting there. I hope I have to eat these words in 3 years but rigth now I am pretty sour. :!

famous quote from Warren Johnson the comedian. At a NY Yankee game a fan yells, "you suck, your father sucks, and your mother would have sucked and but I didn't have 5 dollars" His response: Hey pal, let her finish the anthem.

  6. NY, do u have more reports or an article on the mini camps?

Not much out of mini camp other than Keith Butler likes both LB's (Jones & Williams)

My PC just crashed, getting tired of DELL and their products. :(

We need to do a better job on the warboard this year, I am calling CB ten months in advance. I will start listing CB's over the summer and have a kick-ass list by next April, I hope others fall suit.

2014 is the draft to get a player opposite Cortez Allen. Very deep class, it will fill a need especially if Ike Taylor and his final year of his contract isn't cap friendly, and he will be well into his 30's.

Looking back at the draft, it seems like Round 3 is our albatross. holy crapfest batman.

    2007. Matt Spaeth
    2008. Buster Davis
    2009. Wallace, Urbik, Lewis
    2010. Manny Sanders*
    2011. Curtis Brown
    2012. Sean Spence.

Cannot comment on 2013, camp is not even open, hopefully Marcus Wheaton breaks the pattern. Although all 3 players in 2009 showed production, they are no longer with the team. Manny Sanders cost the Steelers a game with that dumb fumble, and he had other drops that just soured me. :! Not only that, like Jason Worilds, the dude cannot stay healthy.

Whichever game Sanders just dropped the ball around the 50 yard line. 2012 was not a year I saved games to the DVR :(

BTW Hoodie whiffs again. There's a reason Gronkowski fell (injuries)and now Hernandez is involved in a murder investigation (character)

That was actually the win in Baltimore. Should have smoked them.

2012 was a year we should definately forget, way too many unnecessary turnovers that either cost us games or allowed teams we should be smokin stay in the game. Which is why I believe they brought in Richard Mann a WR coach that is a stickler to detail. Protecting the ball probably #1 at the top of the list.

It must be a very slow time for NFL talk. I saw ESPN doing a power ranking for the 2016 season. How do they even know who is going to be on the teams 3 years from now?

The only way that gets any funnier is if you tell me it was hosted by Skip Bayless.

The only person at ESPN that is NOT a dickhead,(excluding Merril Hoge who is a former Steeler):

Sorry but just because guys play for another team now I cant rank them as bad pick. Hard as it is to believe not everyone wants to play with the Steelers just because they are the Steelers. When they cant pay them some guys are going to leave nature of the business to rank it as a bad pick because of that is a little silly. You think picks are bad now they start trying to predict what a guy will cost at the end of his roookie contract and they draft according tot hat it will get worse performance wise. Sanders still has loads of potential and will hopefully be inked to a long term deal. Has he had some fumbles yes but there are guys in the hall of Fame who had fumble problems early in their career and they turned out okay (btw he has 5 fumbles in three years Swan had that in his first year). Had Spence not gotten injured he surely would not be on the list (based on what coaches and teammates have said about him.
