I got a short list of 5 players, someone will be there.

I like the new duds, fellas. Maybe I'll be more inclined to comment (so long as school doesn't interfere) now that this feed is removed from the-site-that-shall-not-be-named. I like things simple. For example, I have an old-school smart phone. When I want to look up something on the internet I pick up my phone, call my brother, and say, "Hey, bro. Are you near a computer?" It works well and doesn't cost an additional 30 bones/month.

That being said, Kevin Minter in the 2nd seems like a steal.

    I_Reckless,

Welcome aboard brother. Minter is not a bad call, we'll see what the next 3 picks are. BPA is actually EJ Manuel BTW, JMFO

    Reckless,

Good to see ya - I keep telling my daughters and wife - Smart phones only make you dumb... They aint buying it - hence a hefty monthly bill for 4 smart phones.. Someone call me a doctor..

    ok you're a doctor...

Anyway - Agree MInter at #48 is a steal... I'm sure he's on NY's short list..

I have found only one issue with this site - my work has it block for posting... I can read all the posts all day - but can not post from work.. CRAP!!

I think Lacy is on the way down - may be available at 48 - I'd passadena... and wait till later in the draft for a RB...

    enjoy,

I only looked at this kid at the senior bowl and I was not impressed.... not sure what was going on with him... but he look average run of the mill... my opinion - you've seen a good deal more of him than me - so I just your eyes over mine.

    enjoy,

Yeah bb he was playing hurt at the bowl game, still feeling effects @ the combine. He lit it up at his pro day, as a sophomore he was a lockdown CB

Yep and that is why I trust your eyes - EGGS-specially on those UConn kids...

I like Reid here too if he is avail....

I'd rather not sniff a running back in the second round either, BB. I like Franklin a bunch, but too often the RB position produces gems in the later rounds. Even if Manuel is BPA, I'd hope the brass add a few more ounces to the NEED side of the scale in this scenario; it's only because I'm really hoping Colbert and Co. (reality show potential?) hit homeruns in the first three rounds, AT LEAST, this year.

That being said, I hated the loss of Keenan given the $ that it would have taken to retain him, but I have to think the coaching staff and the money puppets new what they were doing. Cortez Allen may be the real deal. Even then, we know what William Gay is and we know how old Ike is and we're STILL trying to find out what Curtis Brown is. So, in lieu of all this, I'd toss Jordan Poyer's name in the hat for the second round, depending on who gets taken prior.

Steelers pick was Kevin Minter best ILB in the draft. Reid was the 3-4th best S, Hunter was the 3-4th best WR . When you are looking at players, taking the player that is best at his position is good strategy

It's gotta be Minter. I'm not sold on Reid, and I'm not sure why exactly, and Hunter was a favorite of mine EARLY in the college season but tapered off plenty as the season progressed. We need a replacement for Foote and I don't know what we have in Spence. That being said, I wouldn't hate taking a flyer on a Nico Johnson type later on and use this pick for another position. If that were the case and it's between Reid and Hunter, I'd go with Hunter.

    NY,

Well Done! We can only hope that in the real McCoy Minter last till #48...

The Steelers have a whole bunch of potential ILB's + they just signed SS to one years contract. Jamie Collins would have been my pick if I were going LB. I think Collins can play both inside and outside, He's also a former safety .

Steelers Depot has a great write up on Collins which caused me to fall in love with him immediately; however, I have to agree that we have a bunch of potential ILBs on the roster, but I think Minter is closer to a sure thing. Given Woodley's contract and the faith shown with Worilds and Foote likely participating in his last rodeo, Minter is a solid choice.

But damn, Collins negates any concern we tend to have about playing the zone and covering the flat. I haven't watched enough video to see how/if he sets the edge well enough, but he seems like a potential beast.

In truth, I'd have loved Hopkins to fallen to us, but I think this mock draft is gonna be an accurate representation of when Hopkins comes off the board.

I thought about Collins, Minter was a tackling machine in the SEC. Spence might be done, Foote has 1-2 yrs left, Sylvester is a ST/Backup. Don't forget we have Carter and Adrian Robinson, along with a dark horse, Marshall McFadden. They all have PO-tential. Minter starts in 2014 iny mind. Collins has upside but I am looking for a starter in round 2. Hunter and Reid might start in 2 years , Collins tested well but he could be the next Mike Mamula, I'm not comfortable with that.
