I just ran through a 2014 simulation that put us at #26 in the draft next year, actually.

The Super Bowl XLVIII matchup was the Saints vs. the Bills. The Bills won.

Okay, so maybe it isn't very likely at all. :p

How do guys feel Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA could play as an ILB for us? He was UCLA's sack leader last season.

The more I read about Landry Jones the more I understand the process. However if Earl Wolff goes to the pro bowl in a few years, you m0f0's are NEVER going to hear the end of it.

The other guy I think teams missed on was Jordan Poyer, yeah blah blah blah his 40 time, anyone watch Oregon State, why do you think Chip Kelly drafted him. Ball hawk. The Redskins took the other safety I had apparently over-rated, Phillip Thomas, another ball hawk. Third and 25 they ain't running it, tackling you can teach, ball hawking is more of gift. JMFO. However I trust Carnell Lake. Anyone remember how that doosh Jimmy Johnson got so much success, he played against a lot of the guys he drafted. Incidently Kelly picked 3 guys that gave him fits in the PAC 12. Poyer, Ertz, Barkley.

Guys one more thing about Arthur Brown and possibly why the Steelers didn't have him ahead of Bell. He was just on Sirius radio. Kirwan asked him about why he left Miami.

For those unaware Brown was a HIGHLY recruited LB out of Kansas and then couldn't get on the field. After two seasons sitting behind Sean Spence, Colin McCarthy and Ramon Buchanon he transferred out.

He sat out one year and then had two excellent season's at K State but it says something about the competition these guys face in the lesser conferences - not just on the other side of the ball but within the same locker room.

For the record he dodged the question but the writing was on the wall. He wasn't beating Spence out at the Will linebacker - his ideal position - before his eligibility was up and both McCarthy and Buchanon were back in 2010 as well.

KKirwan also asked him about his playing weight because he's concerned about him playing in the 3-4. He said he played at 228 at K St which confirmed what Kirwan was saying before he came on that a lot of these guys will bulk up pre-combine to appear able to play in other schemes but after a couple of weeks at training camp they ate down to their normal playing weight.

DoDoesn't mean he can't play at that weight, Farrior played at 218 but just an interesting point by Kirwan - as usual.

Beach, when did potsie play at 218??

His last few years minus 2009. He bulked up in 2009 and it stole some mobility from him.

Very interesting and it makes me think of how much it sucks even worse that Spence may never play again. So basically the guy isn't very good which makes me glad the Ravens got him. Yet a not a very good guy vs someone who showed so much potential and 1 preseason game ends it for him.. the not very good guy wins.

I never said he's not any good. It's not 2009 anymore. He's had two years on the field to develop. But Bites asked me during the draft why I didn't like him and my answer was competition. This is a more complete answer courtesy of Pat Kirwan and it will make me look at guys that transfer a little closer in the future.

I was a huge fan of Arthur Brown before the draft. I thought of him highly enough to trick myself into believing he wouldn't be a reach if we were to pick him at 17 overall.

I wasn't around to watch the 2nd round unfold live, but if I were, you can bet your ass I'd be crushed when I saw Le'Veon Bell get picked instead of Brown.

I've lightened up on my stance against the selection of Bell since then, but I do not want to see Brown have success in purple.

Late to the party guys, sorry, glad I found everyone. So ends the CBS boards saga, was wondering wtf happened there.

Love this guy but now what happens to Worilds? He probably will start and what if he does well? Head them off at the pass? I hate the cliche!

That's easy........Jones subs in for whomever is hurt. Management (and rational fans) have to assume at this point that either Worilds or Woodley will be out hurt for over half the season. Whomever is hurt one week, Jarvis plays for. Now if only we had three starting caliber offensive tackles or guards or corners. Gonna be tough until we get some tougher and better conditioned players for a while. Its gonna take time.
