I don't know if there is a Justin Brown (WR) Penn State but the Steelers drafted Justin Brown from Oaklahoma.

Brown played at Penn State for three years before transferring to Oklahoma in the wake of the scandal.

I give the draft a B, the jones pick in the fourth really drops the grade down. Along with trading our 3rd next year to just get a 2nd 4th rounder this year.

i liked David Bass small school sleeper

  6. RTTRUTH Legend Manager Colts

Raiders took David Bass. Dysert to Broncos. Not much else i recall...

  7. Bray went undrafted. Think the Steelers may take a look at him as a UDFA?

  8. Some early FAs, Matt Scott to Jacksonville (keep an eye on Scott there). Fauria to the Lions. Kwame Geathers SD, the British phenom Lawrence Okoye to SF. TJ Moe to the Pats. Jasper Collins Dolphins. Ray Graham to the Texans. Robert Lester Panthers

Steelers unconfirmed: Omar Hunter DT Florida, Luke Ingram LS Hawaii

  9. One final note, I think this is the very Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith FINALLY cracks the roster behind Thomas and Golden.

Gonna be tough. They typically only keep 4 safeties.

  11. Didn't they keep five the last few years though? It seems like they like to carry 10 DBs and some years it has been five safeties. I guess it comes down to him vs. a Victorian or DvD. Maybe they just go with nine like last year.

  12. I'll give my grades for each spot

    1. Jarvis Jones-A. Think he fits perfectly
    2. Le'Veon Bell C+. Not bad and it sounds like he fits what they will want out of backs very well and more than Lacy, just never a big fan of his to begin with.
    3. Markus Wheaton A. Great value where they needed it
    4. Shamarko Thomas A. I can see him starting in a few years. Plays bigger than his size
    4. Landry Jones C-. Like the idea of a QB and I am higher on him than most, just too early and very boom or bust.
    5. Terry Hawthorne A-. The more I read and watch this kid the more I like him. Good fundamental corner is needed
    6. Justin Brown C-. It's the 6th round, no reason to give any lower than this. Production and return ability, but better players could've been had
    6. Vince Williams A. Another steal where they needed it.
    7. Nick Williams A. I had no idea who this was, but I read up on him and some places said he could be a starter in a few years. Sounds like John Mitchell will love working with him.

Never heard of most of the UDFAs but:
I read a good report on Mike Farrell the tackle from PSU and they don't have much behind the starters in terms of pure tackles.
Do not sleep on Curtis McNeal. 1000+ yard season in 2011 with 6.9 YPC and plays bigger than his size. Problem is he is 5'7" 190lbs. I'm telling you guys this guy could be a big surprise, he could be a a nice change of pace back.
Mike Golic Jr, just a fun add right there

Good three days overall. Got a guy that can be their next great OLB, feature back, speedster receiver, future starting SS and backup QB while adding players I liked at corner, ILB and DL and maybe Justin Brown can win a spot as a return man. Throw in adding a pretty good 3rd down back and kick returner in Larod Stephens-Howling.

According to jackal, Bray was miserable on the white board...glad the Steelers didn't draft him, but could add some value as a UDFA...Charlie Batch is done, but maybe they could bring him in as a consultant for training camp to work with the rookies...

Keep your eyes on Joe Madsen, Omar Hunter, Reggie Dunn, Brian Arnfelt, and Anthony Rashad White. This looks like a really good crop of UDFAs.

Reggie Dunn will make the team on ST as a KR. I had him on the board at 199 I think.

I agree. I'm excited about the idea of having him on the roster.

If that happens, what will become of LaRod Stephens-Howling?

I apologize for not scoring the draft contest, I have some family issues and unless things change, I have to concentrate my efforts elsewhere. Hope you guys understand.
