Nice Job Tech! Feiler is a good player. He needs to be better at pass protection but great run blocker. We may be set with him if Foster decides to retire.
Watch any of the pre-season games and you will see Hilton show up. Always around the ball, good blitzer. Holba is disappointing, Coates was surprising, and Johnson being cut for Grimble is a bit surprising. I honestly expected Johnson to make the team, and Grimble to the PS. Sutton will go on IR tomorrow and Bell will sign his tender and they will be at 53 ready for the Browns next Sunday.
Well since I no longer live in the burg and not a single sole on here has mentioned him in any of the numerous posts about the secondary of the Steelers I would say it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone I guess except you.
Sorry to offend you Wazoo. He's been a standout all offseason and I'm pretty sure i read someone mention him on some posts. And just for your reference I've only had the privilege to be in the burgh once in my life and somehow still know about Mike Hilton.
I'm super excited how it went. The last couple of years I felt had head scratching moves as far as the final cuts went. Now, it went like 99% as good as I had hoped.
Numbers game. He only has two years under contract. Brown, Bryant, Smith-Schuster, Rogers all locked up for same or longer. Hunter outplayed him. DHB one of our best special teams player.
You didn't offend me mex. The only things I've read about him on here is that he's had a good preseason, he's always around the ball and a good blitzer. Not to criticize those comments, but he sounds like an OLB not a CB. Those are just from this thread. So my ignorance of Hilton shouldn't be too shocking. Especially since you are only "pretty sure" you've read someone mention him. I would've thought a guy who came out of nowhere and made the 53 man roster in the biggest need for the Steelers would have obvious "mentions" on here. That is what normally happens. Maybe it's this new format of the site that has me off. Still not quite comfortable with the site yet.
He has had a good preseason (very good at times). Wel the board has had more traffic lately so hopefully that continues. Personally I feel like we all have a nice rhythm going with each other and are just here to enjoy Steelers football whatever that means to each one of us. I've enjoyed the last couple of days of talk about the roster, etc. I think if people on the board had been more active (myself included) you would have gotten more analysis on Hilton.
I understand Wazoo. He was a teammate of Golson at Ole Miss. I actually wish Golson would have panned out but Hilton has been playing the slot very well and has had an impact on ST. I have read a lot about him on SteelersDepot.com, I've tried watching the preseason games and I follow several Pittsburgh sports reporters on Twitter. Maybe why I know a little more about him. I had foot surgery recently and it's allowed me to keep up better than normal. I'll try to post a little more and see if I can provide some more info.
Fitzgerald Toussaint, still eligible for the practice squad due to an exemption rule, will be signed, per Jacob Klinger.
I hated to see the Coats trade go down thought the kid had potential and I hope it doesnt come back to bite us some day. Im just not big on hunter couldnt stick with the Titans or Bills and neither team is bursting at the seams in WR talent.
As you know Jean, I was on board with this train of thought. Still a little surprised this happened actually. Why not use Coates as a returner and special teams and backup receiver? I know BEn was big on Hunter....maybe not on Coates? Hunter had better perform or we will all mostly be scratching our heads for many years (provided that Coates does well). If not, moot point.
