    haha firehalo,

Which two NHL teams needed five arenas to play a single season series, and why?

(pitts,nj,oilers, isles, and zamboni union disputes have been eliminated)

  4. Alf u may have missed earlier when inwas wonderin if this was a regular season or playoffs. A good hint at this point is what era was this. If its from the ww2 era count me out. But ull tale another shot. How about stl louis and philly. Two expansion teams from the late 60's who also had crap arenas. Somethin tells me philly is one of them

Philly had a minor league affiliate around that time in Q City. I'll pick that arena.
this happened around the time i was born, so to be completely honest, i was more concerned with fresh breast milk and having a clean diaper... hmm, i guess things haven't changed all that much.

    sorry skinny.
Yes firehalo Le Colisee because the roof blew off the Spectrum, forcing a "home" game for philly against the Kings.

Only three more Arenas, and why.

On March 1, 1968, wind blew part of the covering off the Spectrum's roof during a performance of the Ice Capades, forcing the building to close for a month while Mayor Tate fought with then-Philadelphia County District Attorney Arlen Specter over responsibility for the construction of the roof, and the damage was repaired.[6] The 76ers moved their home games to Convention Hall and to the Palestra, but neither of those arenas had ice rinks at the time, and there were no other NHL-quality sites in the Philadelphia area. Thus the Flyers hurriedly moved their next home game (against the Oakland Seals) to Madison Square Garden in New York followed by a meeting with the Boston Bruins played at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto before establishing a base at Le Colis?e in Quebec City, home of their top minor league team, the AHL Quebec Aces, for the remainder of their regular season, marking the first NHL games in Quebec City in over four decades, and years before the Quebec Nordiques joined the NHL. (The roof was repaired in time to permit the Flyers to return to the Spectrum to open their first Stanley Cup playoffs against the St. Louis Blues on April 4, 1968; the opening faceoff came just as Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis.)

    GOOGLE IS GAWD!

    Nice firehalo!

ok we got both teams The Flyers vs, The Kings. one game at the Spectrum(because that is thier home rink) one game at Le Colisee(because the roof blew off and that;s wear they'll play now)

still need three more Arenas where the Flyers played the Kings that same season... for five arenas in one season series......
