  4. the first NHL All Star game was held as a benefit for what befallen star? also what team played against 7 other teams' star players in the game?

    The first all-star game was for "Ace" Bailey", to raise money in his honour for the vicious hit he took from eddie shore. The defending stanley cup champs played the all-stars of the rest of the league.

    yeah, the SC champs played the all-star team until the 60's, pretty sure, could be wrong. Alfred, I have no clue.

    What was the first ice hockey All-Star game EVER? (before nhl) and name the SECOND game ever to raise money(once again before nhl)

    i want the teams and or players, and the two reason why also. hahahaha

    Was this not the game that raised $2000 for Hod Stuarts family, the other game was to raise money for Ace Bailey.

    There were actually 2 games between Stuart's and Bailey's. One was for Morenz in 1930, between the Canadiens and Maroons. Was hurt in a game but eventually had a heart attack and died of tuberculosis I think. The other game was for Babe Siebert's family in 1939 who drowned between the Maroon's and Canadiens also.

    Alfred, according to WIKI Morenz was the 2nd game against Chicago and the NHL all stars in 1937 due to a broken leg suffered in a game and died a year later. of course, WIKI doesn't always have it's facts straight.
