That part was easy. I think the Pirates beat them in the World Series...........And the 1920 Chicago White Sox, the year after the Black Sox scandal

Correct! Eddie Cicotte and Lefty Williams, two of the conspirators, weren't banned until the story of the fix broke on September 27, 1920, almost one full year after the start of the 1919 Black Sox world's series.

Two "clean" Sox, Dickey Kerr and Red Faber, were the other two.

I remember Ron Hunt got hit A LOT from his baseball card I had back when I was a pup. Think he got plunked 50 times one year.

2 things--red faber didn't play in the 1919 WS and was hurt and they said if he knew about any fix, he would've ratted them all out immediately bc he hated to lose.

and wasn't don baylor hit a lot? he seemed like he had the record in the 80's.

Faber was hurt so much as he was fighting off the effects of influenza all season, and just didn't have the strength to pitch. Influenza killed nearly 700,000 Americans in 1918-1919.

Hughie Jennings played for the Orioles through most of the 1890's. Then was manager of the Tigers through the early to mid 1900's.....Probably was manager for Cobb. Cobb said he wasn't shy and that he dove into a concrete pool that was unexpectedly drained to make a catch.....Jennings is in the HOF....
