12 would be a lot of sweeps. that's a lot.

hmm - i'll go with in 9 a row and say the yankees.

  3. BearsWillWin Drunk (Probably) Patreon Champion Manager Bears Blackhawks Cubs

Will had the right number and Catfish has the right team.

    12 games...by the Yankees....on two separate occasions.....1927-1928-1932...and 1998-1999.

ok - playoff trivia - the first 5 WS MVPs were pitchers. He was the first position player to win the WS MVP. Who was he?

  13. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Who was the only WS MVP to not record a single out during the series?

{edit} There may have been two.

and he did so in a losing effort. the only man to win a MVP on a losing team!

i don't get how is that possible for a pitcher and still win MVP. Will or U Dog probably knows it.

Who said he was a pitcher?

    (hint: he wasn't)

  18. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

I don't think I understand the question, either. Are you talking defensively? Nobody's ever posted a 1.000 OBP in a WS that I'm aware of.

2013: David Ortiz. Won the WS MVP as a DH. The WS went 6 games that year meaning he may have played 1st base in the NL park. Even if he did, he didn't field a fly ball or throw a runner out on the bases.

2009: Hideki Matsui. Also won the WS MVP as a DH. That series also went 6 games so he MAY have played LF or RF in the NL park. If he did, then there's a pretty good chance he fielded a fly ball for an out.

yeah i wouldn't have known either of them. i know who they are but didn't know they didn't make an out.
