side note - of all the major ASG hitting records, none are held by famous yankees-ruth, gehrig, mantle, dimaggio or berra. that's interesting as many played a long time. now i know the ASG was not invented for the entire career tenure of Ruth and Gehrig, but nothing for Mantle, Joe D and Berra?
