  1. thanks, igloo :)

but upon further review, this extra info might not be accurate - which is why i mentioned answers.com, as i don't necessarily trust them, and this is a good example of why. according to another source, it was actually done four times, and piazza's deserves an asterisk, as the ball hit the roof and bounced out - the others went out on the fly. the other site, which i won't name, says mcgwire was the other guy.

i didn't name the other site because it might make it too easy to answer my next question, on the same theme ;)

LOTS of people hit homers out of tiger stadium. maybe the most famous homer there, reggie jackson's 77 ASG blast, didn't leave the park as it caught a light tower while still rising. but of all those people, only four hit one over the left field roof. name them.

I know of 3 without looking it up. So, I gotta say 'uncle'. Someone answer this question quickly please, or it will drive me crazy... or crazier. :)

Sorry Will, I was working on the answers at the same time you were posting.......

    Two-parter:

    1. Name the only person to play in both the Super Bowl and the World Series.
    2. Name the only person in the Pro Football Hall of Fame who also played for a world series winner.

    They are different people.

I got one for sure...'Neon' Deon Sanders, and I'll guess Bo Jackson for the other. Great questions.

  14. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Deion is correct for #1. Good job.

Bo is NOT correct for #2...

  15. Catfish Guest

    deion was an easy one....

jackson isn't in the hof, so it can't be him....

  16. Catfish Guest

dying to see the answer to #2. i thought sanders was the only footballer to play in he MLB playoffs. obviously this is wrong, so im dying to see who this is...

If no more guesses, I'll give the answer...let me know.

  18. igloofn68 Guest

I'll take a guess and say Jim Thorpe or Cal Hubbard? If that's not right, give me a chance to try and look it up.......

    ^^^^

Not Thorpe - no World Series winner.

Not Hubbard, either, but that's an excellent guess. He's the only person in both the Football Hall of Fame and Baseball Hall of Fame, but he also never played for a world series winner.

Thorpe and Hubbard are also in the College Football of Fame...and as a extra hint, so is the answer to question #2. :)

Didn't think they would be. Also saw the Christy Mathewson played some fullback early on before becoming a BBHOFer...I'll give it anther shot with the hint.....
