I think Joe caught 1 (Cone) , Jorge caught 2 (Wells, Mussina) but could be wrong

Rockr is RIGHT? Varitek is the answer with catching 4 no hitters. I wasn't especially looking for the pitchers names. I don't think that was in the question.....But if you want to try the pitchers names he caught? I can look them up and see who they were....

As far as why they don't count a 5 inning rained out no hitter Fish? My guess would be because it's not a 9-inning game....And there are probably a bunch of other catchers that caught 5-inning no hitters....So MLB says, NOT!!! haha

I'll look up the pitchers Varitek caught and see who has any on the board right now. I'm sure theres at least a few but possibly not all 4.....

He caught no-hitters for Hideo Nomo, Derek Lowe, Clay Buchholz, and Jon Lester.

Fish and Rockr got 2 right a piece. I'll be nice and give both Karma. 2 for Rockr, for getting Veritek right.....

    Definition -
A no-hitter is defined by Major League Baseball as follows: "An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings."[1] This definition was specified by MLB's Committee for Statistical Accuracy in 1991, causing previously recognized no-hitters of fewer than nine innings or where the first hit had been allowed in extra innings to be stricken from the official record books. Games lost by the visiting team in 8? innings but without allowing any hits do not qualify as no-hitters, as the visiting team has only pitched eight innings

Who are the only two players to have played in the Little League World Series, College World Series, and Major League World Series in MLB history?

ok igloo--the rule was changed bc i knew they allowed it at 1 pt.

your question--beats me. i wanna say barry bonds bc i know he was in all 2/3 but not sure of the LLWS. I think Gary Sheffield was one.

Taking a break, spring training Pirates game on at 7:00. Pirates have a top new rookie power hitter that will probably get sent down but the writers don't think he'll be down very long.....Palonco is his name, if thats spelled right.....The Bucs would like McCutcheon to hit in the 2nd spot eventually. Plays the outfield. That would give them 3 top players in the outfield that can hit and run. Should be interesting when he finds himself and gets comfortable...

Watched the Pirates game last night and they have another young big bopper. His last name is Bell. They said the Pirates overpaid him $5 MIL. not to go to college. Now I'm really confused? For 20 years they don't want to spend any money and now it's completely opposite, wtf........

Winning is a contagious thing. Now that the have some pieces in place, spending some cash to keep it going becomes second nature. I think the Pirates are going to be very competitive and I think the money bags that run things kinda like what they see...they have a real shot at the Central and are going to go all out. When they were in losing mode the past couple decades, I think the tendency was to work the farm instead of spending cash.

Oh how winning changes everything. :) Sit back and enjoy the ride.
