Konerko and Dunn appear to be correct...although I'm calling "shenanigans" on Catfish 'cause it happened in 2012, not last season...!

I think a team still has to have a running game. You can't let the opposing team just tee off on every play. I think the pass sets up the run compared to when the run set up the pass. Theres no question the rules keep favoring the passing game.....I did notice, don't know if anybody else did, that there seemed to be more rushing in the playoffs compared to the regular season. if anybody wants to look into that? Maybe it was just me?

Back to baseball......I was gonna say, $90,000 was a lot back then. I thought he was the highest paid after he got that. Guess not...........

$90,000 is alot today for a regular worker so back then williams was living large.

i dont know when aaron and matthews hit their 400th hrs let alone their 500th. i know aaron is 200+ ahead of him though.

since i got a red card im done asking questions.

It was a smilie red card, cat. That makes it tounge-in-cheek, humor, sarcasm with a comedical twist, a joke, ment to be funny, jocularity, ...anything but serious and official. *SCRATCH*

will--i know but im all out of questions for now...

    i got 1 more....

when rookie phenom kerry wood struck out 20 astros -- what game in his career was it?

    1, 2, 5, 7, 10, or 11th ??

I watched that game...it was his 5th. He just missed having a no-hitter too. Just 2 pitches thrown a little different and he would have had a perfect game...woulda, shoulda , coulda.

5 is right will. some say the game was better than both of clemens' 2 20 k games. his mechanics killed his career though. all that torque on his elbow ruined him. i will say the cubs bringing him back to close was a nice gesture and in his last game his little boy ran out of the dugout almost brought me to tears. im an old softie.

  10. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

That was only his fifth game...? Wow, that's impressive. Could you imagine pitching a perfect game AND striking out 20...?

    Trivia Question

Wow, you guys are fast. I'm on the Steelers and hockey forum also trying to do all 3. Sometimes it's hard to get back to one.....

at least these are easy to answer and not alf's - who was the ref, who doubled as a goalie and coach in 1933 and then fought against the nazi's and came back to only coach for team germany etc.

watched the natural again last night. they never mention the "whammer"after hobbs strikes him out. kind of odd. i mean if he was the babe ruth as he was portrayed, what happened to him?

  17. igloofn68 Guest
