Giants have lost 2 in a row to the Dodgers. Let's hope Timmy puts them back on track tonite.

Giants get swept by Dodgers which is a season low point. They start a weekend series at Colorado tonite with Zito on the bump. They need to get the ship righted. They are 2 games are under .500 and 4 games out of first.

Giants on a nasty skid. 2-8 in their last 10. Good thing is the rest of the division is playing just as bad so they are still only 3 games back. The inconsistent Lincecum is on the bump tonite against the Reds.

Giants get no hit by Homer Bailey. They truly suck now.

  5. So far not been a good baseball season for me. Angels fan here and they have been a major disappointment. However I work in the city and usually make it to a dozen or so Giants games a year. They are slipping as well. Hopefully both teams can get on track after the break and make a run at this. I think the giants have a better shot at that than my angels. :(

Giants are a second half team and hopefully they can do it again. I wish I could use injuries as an excuse but that ain't the case. Just inconsistent play both on the mound and at the plate. The Angels need to do the same. Losing Weaver hurt but they still should at least be somewhere in the mix with that batting lineup.

  7. You would think with the line up yes. Problem is pitching. On a side note the freaking A's I just don't get how they continue to do it.

They have the good young pitching and a lineup that seems to live to get that clutch hit in the 8th ot 9th or even in extra innings.

  9. Angels pitching has a team rank of 25th in team ERA. The line up on the others hand is top 10 in both hits and runs scored. When pitching is that bad it just hard to win at this level, it needs to improve.

  10. My bad if you were referencing the A's. I know how they do it as in win. I was more talking about find so much talent on a shoe string budget and compete. It just crazy, they just keep churning them out.

Giants try to avoid the sweep. Zito takes the bump. I'd have to say that the odds are not in their favor.

Well Mother Nature helps the Giants avoid a 4 game sweep by the Reds. Cain on the bump tonite against the Dodgers as they hope to turn around their 1-9 record in their last 10.

Giants lose a heartbreaker to the Mets on an error in the 16th. Zito on the bump tonite as they play game 2.

Giants lose another one. Looks like the June swoon has carried over into July. Cain on the bump tonite. Hope he doesn't give up that big inning and shows us his form of old.

In other news, the Pirates are starting to look like the Pirates...

I wish they would cut the season in half...

They are still only a game and a half back. Still plenty of season left. Plus they get Burnett back this week as well. Should be a boost.

I wish it was easier to have an optimistic outlook for this team.

Take a look at what I have. A team that is truly struggling right now. Can't hit, can't pitch and can't field. The trifecta for a losing ball club.

Giants lose again. That makes 4 in a row and 8 of the last 10. They've dropped to 7 back. The pitching sucks, the hitting sucks which ain't gonna work if they even hope to make the post season.
