Paul Hornung, the Hall of Fame halfback and kicker for the Green Bay Packers and one of the NFL's best ever all-purpose players, passed away Friday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame confirmed. He was 84. Nicknamed The Golden Boy, Hornung won four NFL championships, including Super Bowl I, while starring for Vince Lombardi's teams in the 1960s. Hornung spent his entire 10-year playing career with the Packers, earning two All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections apiece and the 1961 MVP. The Notre Dame product was the first pick in the 1957 NFL Draft after winning the Heisman Trophy. Hornung became the first player to achieve those feats, win a league MVP and be inducted into the pro and college football halls of fame. Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly. Former NFL and University of Georgia football player Jake Scott has died at the age of 75. Scott went on to be drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 1970 NFL Draft.

This one may be more local than big stage but anyways here it is anyways John Oldham former WKU player, coach, and athletic director passed away at the age of 97. https://wkusports.com/news/2020/11/23/general-hilltopper-legend-john-oldham-passes-away.aspx In 1971 under coach Oldham the Hilltoppers became the first non traditional black college to start 5 African American players. The 71 Hilltoppers made an aperancemin the final 4 but were later stripped of the appearnce due to a player signing with an agent. Oldham was also the inventor of the Toppers Red towel logo.
R.I.P. to the man who wore the Darth Vader uniform in the original Star Wars movies. David Prowse passed away today, age 85. There was really no bigger icon in Sci-Fi than Darth Vaders helmet and dark black suit and David wore it well.
