I'm not big on Vodka as I used to be in my early college years. I've had good and bad vodka. I'll have good vodka neat, preferably a bit chilled, and I'll have it in cocktails but I prefer it in stuff where for all intents and purposes it's a filler to get the alcohol into the drink, like a Caesar.

 

Good flavored vodka makes great shots.

 

I bought it on vacation this past summer by suggestion from the shop owner, and that dude impressed the shit out of me with everything he set out. He was Romanian, talked with a heavy but fluid accent, completely about his business and loved to talk about it. We were fast friends, lol.

My wife likes Kaluah and typically Goose, but we ended up with Reyka and Copa De Or, and it is unbelievably better for White Russians. He also showed me a cool trick for a caffeinated version using Stok espresso shots. Works really well to cut down on the sweetness.

If it’s smooth I’ll drink it in any manner, but I pretty much stay away from juice/soda mixers.

Except for rum. Give me expensive dark rum and some RC Cola and I’ll return shit I never stole, lol.

 

I have found that Everclear is good to drink if you don't want a nasty headache hangover. @180 proof there is no room for the impurities that help you get headaches.

 

You ever had Goslings extra aged. That stuff taste like it already has a mixer in it but hits you like a truck

 

Does Gin and Tonic count as a soda filler? Lol. It's just bitter carbonated water.

Funny how the drink was invented to cut the strong taste of tonic and not the the other way around as most drinks were invented.
