even the show was highly fake and their rationale on offers were just an insult, I did like the Old Man ! RIP Old Man !
no shit. they're all sitting on their pile of money made from the show. the show is a total farce. all their experts are consulted beforehand too.
I hear that it's become nothing more than a glorified souvenir shop. They just want to sell you "Pawn Stars" stuff.
I've heard the same thing. We have a couple of pawn shops here in town and I've talked to those guys. They say it's a hole in the wall too. Both places said "Our shop is nicer that theirs."
once the show was exposed for a fraud, I stopped watching. Rick's reasoning for his low bid offers drove me nuts. "oh I gotta frame it and make room in the showcase for it, etc." you said yourself Rick, it's worth $20,000. your offer was $10,000 and now you're bitching about framing and storage ? get bent. the moment he would tell anyone the value or the expert would say it, I wouldn't come off that price. Rick and Corey would drop $5000-8000 lower than that and then bring up framing and storage costs. total shyster thieves and robbers.
That's the pawn shop business !!! They will buy something for $35-40. That they know they can sell it for $100. Then they mark it up to $115 and let us grind them down. hoping to get the hundred. I see something for $115 ?? I offer $80. Maybe $85. They can take it or leave it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's a business !!!!!!
I'm 62 y/o. I don't know who this "Vinnie" guy is. But I've seen a lot my music icons die off. Tom Petty most recently. My question is,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Keith Richards ?????? Is he going to bury us all !?!?!?
I get it So Cal. I'm talking the 1 item that was appraised for $20,000. Rick offered $10,000 and bitched about framing and storage fees. the guy wanted $20,000 and Rick offered $10,000. the guy was going to leave and Rick said $13,000 and that was his final offer. The guy took it. What does Rick sell it for ? Probably $25,000 ! So Rick makes $13,000 ! Unreal !
What about that idiot that brought in over $200k worth of silver and sold it to rick for $110k, talk about stupid.
exactly. Rick probably gave him some bullshit rationale for low balling him like storage or melting it done costs. the sad thing is bf they were on TV, Corey really did work there as a kid and Chumlee was his buddy he got a job there. Rick joined his Father in it since the early 80's! Now none of them work and sit on their pile of money ! Capitalism at it's finest.
