The cheeseburger in paradise restaurant plays Buffet’s cheeseburger in paradise song a lot. I ate there in Panama Beach and I swear I heard that song about three or four times in the 45 minutes we were there. The food was delicious. I thought the song was before the restaurant not that Jimmy wrote it about the restaurant.
I thought the song was before the restaurant not that Jimmy wrote it about the restaurant. Yes it was Gidi.........he wrote the song in the 70's before he started his EMPIRE and it's a True Story about sailing in rough water and he had a Major Graving for American Burger. RIP Jimmy
I got to jam through 4 songs with Buffett once. A good friend of mine that was a session drummer for a long time had his birthday bash on a beach in Punta Cana. Buffett just happened to stop by and at some point I ended up in a corner with them playing a few songs. About the time that it dawned I me I didn't belong in a group with that much talent I bowed out and let someone else have their turn.
I raise my margarita to you Jimmy. Now where’s my shaker of salt? Another great story about Jimmy, Duff...........he invented the word Margaritaville. He was on his way back to Key West (His Home) and drove up to 7 Mile Bridge in Florida. There was an accident on the Bridge as a PU Truck had crashed into the side of the bridge and it was unsafe to cross. So after a two hour stoppage on the other side of the bridge he wrote the song "Margaritaville". And the rest is History.
Jon Scott @JonScottTV · Seguir Multiple sources have confirmed to me that former Syracuse and #Bills WR Mike Williams has passed away following injuries suffered during an accident while working at a construction site. The Buffalo native was 36 years old. 8:08 p. m. · 5 sept. 2023 Also played with Tampa and KC
Reports are out now that he isnt dead, he's on life support. Apparently a steal beam struck him in the head, brain swelling and a spinal rupture with swelling, paralyzed in right arm and from the waste down. He's in an induced coma. Williams’ agent confirmed to 7 News WKBW in Buffalo that the receiver is still alive. His wife added that they plan to take him off life support, but that hasnt happened yet. Tampa Bay Times allong with a slew of other news outlets this morning also reporting he isnt dead, but its probably just a matter of time. Spectrum News 1 in Buffalo apparently reported he was dead and the rest of the media ran with it.
Any mention of how he was struck by a steel beam? Not an everyday occurrence. Which reminds me of a joke……A former NFL WR walks into a (steel) bar…… Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
