I don't see a close game Saturday noght. It could be, and idk if weather will be a factor, but the Ravens have a clear edge this week. As mentioned, Harbaugh knows the Pees defensive scheme, but Dean never got to experience the Roman offense outside of a game here and there. The Titans also have the worst pass blocking o-line which helps mitigate the defenses biggest flaw, the pass rush. And then I didn't know the Titans were bad against TEs. This is the wrong the wrong offense to face with that weakness. Derrick Henry jusy had 160 rushing yards and it lead to 14 points. Any team can beat any other team on amy given day, but I'd be surprised if the Ravens don't win by at least 10
While I think it's possible the Ravens could start out slow, I think it's likely they have scripted a couple of series that will blow the Titans doors off. Tennessee's weakness on D is tight end coverage, which plays into a strength of ours. I wouldn't be surprised to see a heavy dose of play action passing the first two series, using the pass to set up the run. The closest team we've played to the Titans this season personnel-wise might be the Rams, and I don't think Tennessee's front 7 is nearly as talented as LA's. In addition to the layoff as an X factor mentioned above, don't forget the challenge of playing 3 consecutive road games for the Titans. The one thing that gives me pause is that they have been a very competitive team down the stretch, and the Ravens have not faced a lot of adversity in-game this season. Finally, there's the noise level at The Bank...
As a very old Baltimore football fan, it is the "I can't see the Titans beating you guys" remark that scares me. Everyone seems to be thinking that way. Reminds me of the 17 points I gave to guys in my Barracks back in 1969 when the Colts played the Jets. Remember How that went? The Titans are a formidable offense, and similar in many ways to the Ravens. Ravens 2nd in Rushing, Titans 3rd. Ravens 27th in passing, Titans 21st. Overall, Ravens offense finished #2, Titans #12. Statistically, on paper, the Titans should have trouble stopping the Ravens, They are 12th against the Rush and 24th against the pass. The Ravens are 5th and 6th, respectively so, on paper, they should have some success stopping the Titans offense. But stats mean nothing at this point. It's one game. Our defense will have it's hands full. With the way the Ravens blitz, they better have a dependable tackler shadowing Henry, looking for the screen. Tannehill was one of the best QB's in the league against the blitz. It would be nice to see the Ravens stop Henry the way they did last year. In that game the D also had what, 7 sacks? But that was also Mariotta. The Ravens should win this game. It is at Home, against a team they should beat. Just trying to remind everyone. Anything can happen.
So according ti this, the 2019 Ravens are arguably the best offense this millennium with Lamar at QB.
Looks like the #1 seed in the NFC, the 49ers, will move on to the championship game. Let's hope their AFC counterpart will do the same. It's almost game time
You almost have to hope the Ravens look as fresh as the 49ers did. Towards the end, Cousins stepped back and was just sacked constantly.
Welp, the talking heads have been asking what this offense can do when we're down 2 scores. Guess we'll all find out today. Wow
The problem is by playing so poorly, they are letting the refs dictate some calls which I find questionable at best (Lamar penalty and that 4th down spot). The drops in the passing game are what I've been worried about. The Andrews error yielded that first turnover.
Ravens need to get it together here. Definitely can't go into the 2nd half down more than 7 if you want to win this game
So the Titans are bad against the TE and our game plan is to run the offense through the least talented position group on the entire team instead. You have to hate the execution, but you also have to wonder what in the world they were thinking.
The team is definitely rusty. Well, the last playoff game between Pees and Roman saw Pees win the first half, and Roman the second. Let's hope that happens with a closer acore so Roman can win thia time
We need more passes to Hayden Hurst. If everyone is going to let passes bounce off their hands, then get it to the best hands on the team
For as bad as they played and as much crap that went against them, the Ravens are only down 1 score and get the ball to start the half.
That redzone play calling was trash. Why did we have a slow developing play on deck? Should have been a quick hit, whether inside or out. The o-line ia getting beat by a Dean Pees 4 man rush
You've honestly got to be shifting me with this game. Haha there aren't words, but what can you do as fans?
