To be fair, the Skins are probably the only team as bad at developing WRs as the Ravens. So being cut by them isn't a negative thing imo. Perriman is likely seeing less snaps with Cleveland than he did with us, I'm guessing from how it looked. So getting the same amount of catches is a big thing. Overall though, I really do think he's just benefitting from a new home. He got to leave all the dark times from his life in Baltimore.
What kind of contract do you even give your #4 guy to catch 1 pass per game and not play special teams? Would it be a million a year? That's fair that he sees less snaps, so 1 catch per game on fewer snaps is an improvement on playing the entire game and getting 1 catch. I just don't know where you go from there with him. He doesn't play ST which I know I've mentioned a bunch, but it's actually huge and one of the reasons the Ravens cut him. It's nice to try relying on him for 1 big play per game (the Ravens do this with Moore), but taking up a roster spot for that and offering nothing else is not a luxury most teams can afford. I think Perriman's absolute ceiling is a #3 guy in the mold of what Jacoby Jones did for us on offense. The more snaps you give Perriman, the worse the return on him is going to be.
Well, I imagine he better get to playing ST as a gunner if nothing else if he wants a roster spot in 2019. It is not like he can't do that The fact of the matter is that the Browns have a ton of cap space for the next couple of seasons, till Baker's rookie deal runs out, so I figure he would get a 2 yr deal around 2.5 mil with a 500k signing bonus. Something around that range.
