The New York Jets draft is over. Round 1 (3): Josh Rosen, QB Round 3 (8): Mark Andrews, TE Round 4 (7): Scott Quessenberry, OG/C Round 5 (20): Jeff Holland, OLB Round 6 (5): Jordan Lasley, WR Round 7 (17): Toby Weathersby, OT With the considerable additions to the defense in Free Agency, New York decide it is time to revamp their offense. The Jets get their franchise quarterback for the future, add two dangerous receiving threats and create more depth for an average-at-best offensive line.
I'll probably take shit for this, but there is something about Rosen that screams, "if you pass on him, You're gonna regret it."
It's something about the quiet confidence that Josh Rosen has...I like him. He just might be the next Tom Brady...
^^^C'mon guys...That was a clear football conversation starter if there ever was. Let's talk QB's. I'm not joking about Rosen. I like him, in spite of the fact his coach is trying like hell to steer him away from Cleveland. (insert Browns insults here)... Any thoughts on that? IMO, Mora is an idiot. His careless comments and the constant backpedaling have been amusing though....Rosen is like; "dude wtf?"
Do you blame Mora from trying to steer Rosen away from the Browns? The QB ruiners. IMO if you can keep Rosen away from Hue Jackson for a year, that be the best, if he was drafted by Cleveland. I wouldn't draft with Jackson in mind, because IMO he is a dead man walking.
Yeah it’s distasteful for any college coach to say anything short of a blatant endorsement about his guy. I like Rosen too. Not as much as you. But I have him ranked 2nd behind Darnold. He’s your prototypical pocket QB. Decent mechanics, accuracy. Good head on his shoulders. Can anticipate. Goes through progressions. Extends plays. If there’s one thing I really don’t like about him, it’s that damn Eli-esque stupid look on his face. If he isn’t assertive vocalizing with his teammates, it legitimately would scare me if I had to invest a top 10 pick in him
I think, for what its worth, Rosen is a natural, period. I think he has a nearly endless upside if he stays healthy. Mora on the other hand is now spinning his comments around stating that he was trying to be positive and motivational in his comments towards Rosen. Mora' comments really don't mean a thing anyway as the tape and stats and Rosen's play on the field will do the talking for him. 6'4" and athletic with great passer ratings is just what the doctor ordered for an NFL QB.
The best was the "fallout" when Pete Carroll took Earl Thomas over Taylor Mays. He just said Earl was better every time someone asked. Well he had to think that if he was in charge and drafted him earlier.
