Who are the Pens trading to Washington for their first this year? (There will be 31 teams drafting in June with #30 going to the SC loser.)

He has the 2nd highest Corsi in the Swedish Elite league at 17.

Ilya Sorokin is 24-8-4, 1.58gaa,.950 sp for CSKA Moscow of the KHL. He has consistently had these otherworldly numbers since being drafted by the Islanders 78th overall in 2014.
Big problem here is that the NYI dont know when he's coming over. Sounds like this kid is something special and you can get a look at him on the Russian Olympic team full of Russians.

 

How did Eeli Tolvanen fall to #30 in the '17 draft. Only 8 months removed and I'll bet that he'd be a top 5 pick if there was a re-draft.
I guess some were scared off by the fact that he was ruled ineligible for NCAA hockey only a couple days before the draft and they might've thought there was more to the story than there really was. Either way this kid was seen as a top 10 pick for most of the season and his game has Kessel written all over it. Looks like we'll see it up close very soon in Nashville.

 

Elias Pettersson (1st/5th overall, 2017) just broke a 42 year old Swedish Elite League record for points by a teenager. His 4 point night gives him 55 in only 44 games.

 

Is that Dean Youngblood or Eeli Tolvanen? thats a series clinching goal right there.

Boston had one heluva draft in 2014; they did not have a lot of picks, but they hit on almost every one. Some are looking like core players. Add Ryan Donato to that now that Hahvahd's (they suck!) season is over; he inked his ELC with the Boston Mattys.

Saw that yesterday and am super curious. I guess we'll find out eventually. I was afraid it was a Panther for a short while, but when he said, "very, very prominent NHL team", I felt reassured. Really hoping it's a division rival, now, so I can make fun.
