Jack Eichel will not be attending the US WJC evaluation camp.
I think this is a first for USA Hockey.

 

Are there any details for why?

The US WJC team should be very strong next year even w/out Eichel. Finland will be a hell of a trip Dan.

i always wanted to go to finland (without my wife), sweden, Iceland, hell anywhere.

 

I guess the gist of it is they know he's going to stick with the Sabres so wouldn't be going to Finland. Hope Buffalo gets the '18 games so I can go and hang with my "nephew".

BTW, the Jan. 15th game is in BUF not BOS. Gotta recheck the schedule but I think I'm going to have to get there on 1/05. Otherwise I may have make a separate trip there to catch a game. Let me know the BC schedule when you can.

 

Red, I'm working on my Portuguese right now. I'll have to hit the Finnish books this Fall. I do know that it's a tough language; just as hard as Irish, (Gaelic). I doubt I'll have too much trouble communicating with the locals. Just a hunch.

I was actually kinda shocked that all of those guys knew who Jack Eichel is.

2015/16 NCAA schedule isn't out yet as far as i know. Hopefully there'll be something but they usually come back after Jan 5. NCAA gives a few weeks off around Christmas and BC usually tries to go light right after the return, they'll lose the pivotal guys to WJC team.

 

Those countries would be great to see. I've always wanted to go to Sweden.

Thanks, Brett. I think I will go to Sweden in Dec., and I look forward to the scenery. As it was, I was faced with one fucking big-ass conundrum. There are zero Marriott Hotels in all of Finland. Zero! (I shamelessly plug Marriott at every chance, in fact as this proves, I manufacture said chances. Stay at Marriott; they're the tits & the ass of the travel-service industry. Matty has an inking for why I like Marriott so much. Stay at Marriott!) So what the fuck am I to do!?

I thought of staying in Latvia, with the added bonus that they are big Sabres fans. Now, thanks to this, I think I will find more comfortable accommodations in Sweden.
