Pronger's salary drops to 575K in the final 2 years of his contract. If he retires at the end of 2015 instead of 2017 he'll be 2 years closer to his HOF induction (and payday), he'll have 2 more years to build up his front office resume, and he'll have 2 more years of pay from a front office from which to build on. He won't have to do all the required medical procedures and won't have to be a 5thwheel for 4 more years. If he does retire, the Flyers will have to lose 8.7 million in recapture penalties. Can't wait to see how it plays out. Does Snider want to create another "convert" or will Pronger go his own route?
