  1. Timmonen and Striet arent #3's. Johnathon Ericsson is a number 3. outside of that I agree Bob. I wont ask what pumpkinhead is but the fact that Coburn didnt get moved yet is a head scratcher. this defense is old and possibly very injury prone but if Emery plays like he did in Chi town(which I have plenty of doubts about) then things may not be as bad as you think

Timonen may still be a number 2, I may concede that. Last year he looked much slower and vulnerable. I thought he was a 2 going into last year but I don't think there's a partner on the roster that lets him be that player. He'll be 39 in march and I think the decline is well on its way.

I could see Streit as a top pair type with the right type of partner assuming he stayed healthy. As I see it, he's a situational first pair type like a Markov of Enstrom. Lots of skill but too many holes in his game (or health) to be relied on as an every situation type dman, which is my criteria for a top pair type.

I completely agree that things will look very good if Emery holds up and plays like he did last year. Emery took alot of criticism in 2012, but I thought he played stronger than his stats looked then too. I like Emery and I hope he has a healthy year so he can get paid. I really enjoyed watching him fight through his major injuries. He went to Chicago on a tryout 2 years ago and know he's in great shape to be a number one again.

PHI's blueline situation is a quantity versus quality conundrum. No matter which 6 they pick, there are going to be very vulnerable in some areas and very strong in others. Weird mix. I think they'll be a playoff team because of the roster but I think a good coaching staff will pick them apart in the first round.

Gill is pumpkinhead. Our resident Bruins fan has assured us that his head has unbelievable physical dimensions.

I'm not sure if he was born pumpkinhead or if he used special vitamins to enhance the size of his melon. Where's Matty? He's been around him, maybe he sold him deer antler nectar or something.

  10. lol @ skillz. i hope his middle name is "mad" :)

  11. I hadnt even noticed that. So I married an axe murderer - not a very good movie but the 'heed' parts were hilarious. Mike Myers is funny as hell

he's way too high on himself so that's why after the love guru bombed, he stayed on doing voicework for shrek bc he last 4 non-shrek movies stunk. he's very full of himself and no one wants to hear him yell out "yeah baby, yeah" anymore.

and the original voice of shrek was Chris Farley but he died midway through the first movie's voiceover work and they had to find someone else, so myers stepped into a 500 million dollar dynasty!

  14. GTFO, really? I loved Farley. Is that true Cat. I have a 3 yr old and we watch it all the time. I like Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers so its an easy one for me to watch

  15. Mike Myers is very funny, dry humor and very witty. I never watched much of the Austin Powers crap. not my thing but on SNL, Waynes World hes funny as hell

  16. Catfish Guest

yea cutter true. he had to do the scottish voice to get away from farleys take on shrek which disney loved so myers made over $100 mil on it bc farley did.

Cleary deal to Philly called off for some reason. Detroit calling him back maybe? so Aaron Ward will lead you to believe. Ward also broke the news that Iginla was traded to the Broonz last year so take that for what its worth.

  18. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

The rumors started flying, for sure. My guess is that he will sign with the Flyers once the right circumstances are in place. The Flyers are 2 million over the limit and still have to place Pronger on LTIR, so maybe after camp, Cleary can sign and make things official. I doubt he's returning to the Wings...he probably just wanted to know if he still had insurance. :)

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Who knows, but I don't know why a player would skate with a team without a contract given Cleary's circumstances. Obvioulsy that can't cover him. If he takes a PTO, all other offers disappear and then he has no leverage if the front office pulls a 'fast one".

I thought they allowed for a written agreement, guess things are normal. He'll probably be a Flyer in 3 weeks.
