  1. me too, Id give the fly a good return if he could come to the Wings. Hes one of my favorite players right now......but hes had more than one fighting major so Holland already checked him off the possible trade candidates. I could see him in Boston actually Eddie, but Im not really a Boston fan so if hes not coming to motown then he can stay. I can tell you if that douche Hextall (who so far has shown me nothing) trades him I will go ballistic

cutter - i like the way you think (sometimes)

hextall with the contracts he has can't do much. he got rid of hartnell and 2 extra year's salary. that's a huge win. what do you expect him to do with the limited cap space he has ?

however - if you can get anything cheaper for what they have - sell, sell, sell.

you just don't like hextall from before and your hatred is carrying over. haha.

  3. paint me guilty, that wont change either. I havent looked up where they are cap wise, I know its not good but Hartnell wasnt the guy Id move. theres plenty of crap on that roster that gets a bus ticket before him

  4. I remember watching that like it was yesterday, he looked like Pavel Bure there. good stuff

    but who has value?

darren mccarty? he sold his cup rings and had to work at american jewelry and loan (hardcore pawn) for a bit. what was he doing with his money? are his parents jack johnson's?

where's some 1987 hextall highlights? and not the goals allowed either.

  6. he gambled and drank it away. I also think he surrounded himself with a lot of leaches

your telling me no one on the roster has value? I dont understand your question. Hartnell was a decent value and that wasnt a bad contract. plus he was a leader, he left it all on the ice just like the guy that SHOULD be the captain Simmonds

cutter im asking YOU who has value to trade for? i have my own answers. christ i would you and half the team if i could! haha

i thought the hartnell deal was brutal and to escape with 2 less years of it is brilliant by hextall.

kimmo timmonen still has blood clots. season in doubt. sad. seems like a good guy.

  9. K let me think on this Cat, keep in mind my answer would be to mold the team how I would do it. Thats a lot for one sitting and I love the Fly so give me a few

I can say I dont think the Hartnell contract was that bad considering what he brings and the fact that the void that exists now means that Hextall shouldnt have done it. Just my opinion of course but theres much worse contracts he should concern himself with

then get some mittens! boston - ugh.

  15. OK CAT, I dont work for the govt and Im white that = not a day off. K I said Id think about this but I quite honestly havent, but Im sure I can put some things together. I have no Capgeek either so I may get a few things contract-wise wrong but Ill do my best. This team for all intense purposes is going nowhere this year, with that in mind Im looking to off veteran baggage and then see what young guns I want to keep. Now this is for arguments sake so dont wet yourself when I throw a few scenarios at you also your asking ME how I would do it as far as molding this team

    Total $72,966,000 $71,920,000 $61,975,000

God I hate computers why can this crap just line up for gods sakes!! I highlighted all the guys Im looking to get rid of

the defense is a joke so thats where I start. goal #1 is to find some moron to take Luke Schenns contract - if I accomplish that half the battle is won. I dont care for MacDonald, hes a floater and easily replaceable. Timmonens gone after this year so dont have to worry about him, unless some desperate team wants him at the deadline. Coburn and Read suck my ball sac and couldnt get their asses out the door fast enough. not a big fan of Streit but you have to have a #1 and unfortunatley itll have to be him until I find something better. Grossman does nothing for me and hes on the block, hes a godd posession guy but thats not how I want my team

the forwards arent that bad to me if they stay healthy. No one will touch Vinnys contract so your stuck w it, Simmonds is my new man crush so hes not going anywhere. Voracek and Giroux I dont need to address. Im a Brayden Schenn and a big Couturier fan. their young and no one wants to have a Seguin move made(not saying their that good but you catch my drift.

Ray Emery time to start filling out apps on the KHL, I cut him immediately and I dont care if Mason is hurt I hate Emery and hes gone

some other small to you but not me moves. Jay Rosehill, later days. I immediatley get my other man crush off the sofa and bring in a legitimate heavyweight in Parros and get the toughness back in black and orange. Umberger stays although I dont like that contract. Coliacovo doesnt belong in the NHL so hes an after thought

I do everything in my power to move as many of the afforementioned players for draft picks. free up as much cap space as I can and build for the future. if Taylor Hall is available Im inquiring. Im also inquiring about guys that I think I can get in a trade to help as a stopgap. I hate CHris Stewart but I think I take a chance there and put a lighter under his ass. also looking at some Canes players like Sekera and maybe for a small price I take a shot at Semin and put him with a true setup man like Giroux. I also like TOm Wilson a lot and think he could be a budding power forward type, that guy is more than a goon IMO. most of the guys I like would come for a small price and it would just be to groom the kids until their ready to leave the nest so I wont go through all of them.I also bring back Tom Sestito and/or Carcillo to fill out my goon line

and last but not least I fire that jackass Ron Hextall

well there you go, got it all figured out in about 15 mins

i agree with everything you wrote but firing hextall. give the guy a chance with some freed up money.

now see was that so hard to write? i thought it was excellent!

What's he worth? I expect his asking price may have come down, but I know Tim Murray was asking for a first (any 1st; not a top-ten), and a prospect. He's not part of the future in BUF, so I think TM will be a motivated seller with this vet.

Philly's prospect pipeline is not very deep; do you see a chance of Stewart and a Buffalo prospect going there for one of the players you want to keep, (Simmonds, Couturier, etc.), plus any salary dump not named Vinny. BUF also has two first round picks that should be in the 20's and two second round picks?

BUF is almost certain to draft #1 or 2, but if it seems like they could end up at #3 then they could draft Hannifan, which would make it more likely a d-man is available. Even without Hannifan BUF has about four A-list defensive prospects. I look at Philly as an organization that matches up well with BUF's needs, and vice versa.
