Wow. Poke, this is really not okay. You came on to the Bears' board to laugh at Cutlers' injury? What is wrong with you? This isn't even remotely appropriate. I am completely offended by this.
Throwing jabs back and forth is one thing. Getting giddy and making fun of a guy getting injured is another.
I think, if I may be so forward ... that poke's invitation to discuss the subject of the Packers sucking, and to be taken seriously, on this thread, should be revoked. All in favour?
Hey, all - I figured this was as off-topic a place to put this on the CHI board: With one marching season wrapping up (a successful one, at that), I'm putting together plans for next season. I've got a show concept I'm bouncing around and putting together, and wouldn't mind some help. The show is simply based around the moon, specifically our landing on it. Looking for both material to use as well as to inspire, I'm wondering if anyone has any particular moments that stick out to them in regards to the moon and our presence on it. I've already got great moments like Armstrong's speech as he steps on the surface, JFK's speech at Rice University, as well as the liftoff from mission control. My current idea is to begin the show with JFK's speech (set to Also Sprach Zarathustra, or the Space Odyssey theme), have Armstrong's during our ballad moment, and finish with the sound of the rocket taking off from mission control. Any musical selections having to do with the moon, or any moments in time that you all find worthy, I'd appreciate the recommendation - whether I can use it in the show or for inspiration, it's all good. Many thanks, and all the best. P.S. The Packers Suck.
No no Mongo. Not to delete his or anyone else's posts ... just to revoke his invitation here. Argh. Never mind. All of this stuff usually sounds better in my head before I start typing ...
Nooo no no Packerz. That isn't what I meant. I don't actually know what I meant anymore. It's all good ... carry on with your business everyone. I'll just slink back to my corner and try to figure things out again.
So... Here's my view. I'm never in favor of deleting posts or banning anyone who is actually a legit poster. If someone creates an ID just to spam or troll - gone. But anyone real who really has a view - even if its trollish - or even has a view to say something stupid - should never be banned or blocked or shut down. And their stupidity should be left for all to see.
I'd have a medley of Sinatra and Martin songs such as FLY ME TO THE MOON and THAT'S AMORE(as in "when the Moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's AMORE") Give out a glass of TANG to everyone since it was the space programs drink of choice back then along with some fake "moon rocks" and of course, green cheese Have two guest speakers.... Ming the Merciless..... and Flash Gordon debate each other with King Vulcan the moderator. OF course, then, you will need a rabid feminist shout people down by demanding a Woman in the Moon superimposed over the Man in the Moon.
Okay. That makes good sense. I was never in any danger of deleting posts or banning anyone anyway. Ever. I don't do stuff like that and I never have. Oops, I need to edit this. I did delete a bunch of posts from my score card thread in the hopes of cleaning it up for its instated purpose but after a quiet word from Tim I realized the error of my ways. I swear that's the only time I've done that. So far ... LOL I was just joking about Poke's invitation being revoked actually. I thought the whole self-righteous indignant outrage thing was a good look for me. Not so much maybe ... So how do you define a troll? People talk about trolls all the time and I read some descriptions and definitions on the Admin Help thread but what do you guys think a troll is?
Considering the number of times I've made an ass out of you on this board..........I really don't believe that is a fair comment Al.
