    From Chicago Bears Nation:

This is what Martellus Bennett refers to as "father-son time" with Bears head coach Marc Trestman ? with Donald Walker Jr.

Fuck the Lions! I hate that fucking city and their fucking fans.

I wouldn't be opposed to Long going low on Suh and taking out his knees and ending his season. It would probably do the rest of the league a favor by preventing more cheap shots and injuries from that thug.

    Packers suck, Lions SWALLOW!

As a side note - Kona Brewery is exporting their Pipeline Porter to the mainland for the season. If you haven't tried it, it's one of the best dark beers I've had, and a personal favorite. Kona coffee in a beautifully crafted beer. Check it out, look for it near you, and get yourself a case - great, great stuff.

Why is tackling a major point of emphasis at Halas Hall this week? Since 2006, the Saints offense ranks first in NFL in yards after catch. ?

Martellus Bennett (shoulder) and Julius Peppers (chest) practiced without restrictions. Sherrick McManis (quad) was limited.

In a online chat with Bears fans, GM Phil Emery was asked who his all-time favorite Bears player is. Emery's answer: Brian Urlacher

Adding playoff games would be stupid. Stop it, Goodell - you've ruined enough.

On a lighter note, beer is good, and the Packers suck. Bear down.

Agreed, the playoffs are big enough, having half the league get in negates how much it means to get in. It also would somewhat taint the 1 and done scenario in my mind, because if 1/2 the league can show up then deserving teams don't ever get to play the top tier. Hell, in the current structure you get teams that are less than deserving of making an appearance.

But the the good news is, the Packers Suck.

Listened to the Dan Patrick radio show today and he played an interview that he had a year ago with Troy Polimalo(sp?). Patrick asked him how many "confirmed" concussions he had suffered while with Pittsburgh. He said he suffered 8 of them, but when asked how many times he believed that he was concussed, he said, maybe 50! This, of course, didn't count the ones he experienced while at USC.

Patrick then asked later who least cared about injuries in the NFL and asked his listeners who they thought cared least. The poll said the FANS. I think so also. WHen we see these guys on the field, they seem super-human, don't they? They seem like IRON_MAN in his suit. HUGE, MEAN, SUPER_STRONG beings on a field. Then you see what happens to them later...... Dave Duerson, Jim Otto, Seau, McMahon, et al. Who cares? Just plug in another player. We even on this board see people actually happy when a player they don't personally like gets hurt and out of the line-up. I am not criticizing anyone BTW, I have done it myself.

We glorify these behemoths don't we? Some of us put on our team's colors and take on the persona of being a player ourselves. Especially when he drink a lot and foolishly think that we ourselves are super tough, Hilarious, right?

I do think that pretty soon the game of football as it exists will be very changed. They HAVE to get PSD's and HGH out of the game. Men are not supposed to be this big, this fast, and this out of control. It is the drugs that account for most of it. Hell, just take a look at the general population as you shop. take a look at the muscles of young men. Then remember what the general population was even ten years ago. And please do not tell me that this event is happening naturally through good nutrition and exercise. That is a joke.

Then take a look at all of the muscle shirts most of these guys wear advertising "nutritional" additives as well as multi-martial arts, cage fighting, etc, which BTW I find akin to gladiator wars. Take a look at a lot of these guy's EYES!! This shit is not natural and a lot of these guys are killing themselves but they do not care.

I am 6'2" and 195 #s. I have been this height and weight pretty much since 1980. I think the most I ever weighed was 205# before I felt out of shape and slow and took exercise and health serious. I have played contact sports and coached sports pretty much all of my adult life. And I KNOW what young kids are encouraged to take by a lot of their coaches and a lot of their parents. IT IS SICK! I believe that I can walk into a room of men and tell you how many of them are on the juice and who aren't. I also have seen some of the consequence of this shit also. Roid rage is real. Explosions of temper are not rare.

Going back to football, they need to do all that they can to drive PSDs out of the game. The players and team's are sure as hell not going to do it. It'd be nice if FANS do. Maybe it should be led by WOMEN????

The NFL has informed wide receiver Brandon Marshall that he will not be permitted on the field Thursday night wearing the green shoes he planned as a way to call attention to Mental Health Awareness Week, which began last Sunday and runs through Saturday.

Its probably more politics than anything else.

It seems like a invasion of his rights don't you think?

It's the NFL's product, and he's an employee, so they can tell him to wear what they like, more or less.

But it's plenty hypocritical and awful of them, for sure.

  19. Exactly. It doesn't push their agenda which is breast cancer awareness month. That is ridiculous to me. Mental health issues affect a lot of people. Maybe more directly than Breast Cancer. Yet Mental Health awareness gets a week and someone affected by it can't promote it.
