I don't think Matthews had intention to hurt the guy. Just to put a big hit on him. It's football. That's part of the game. Hit a guy so hard he thinks twice about running in your direction.
Is that how it works? Because I am not a card carrying member of the Bears Tree House, I can't express varying points of views? Besides, I don't wear underwear so I never have to worry about that bunched up feeling
For the record, Suh is his own special category. James Harrison comes close just because he blatantly says I don't care about the rules, I am just going to hit the way I want to. But Suh is short bus special when it comes to dirty hits. Allen and Matthews just want to hit you no matter where you are. Sometimes it is dirty, sometimes it is over aggressive, and sometimes it is clean. BTW how do we all (including Packers fans) feel about the Vikings after they lost to the Lions with ALL the bonehead plays the Lions made?
I don't agree with this at all Phel. Packerzz is not a whiner and you shouldn't call him that. I don't agree with Packerzz saying that this board is sensitive ... but then again, I call this board home so maybe that's why I don't agree. I also think it's tough to watch your team lose (in a close game) and then come on this site where there are 2 threads dedicated to jokes about the Packers sucking. I'm not sure if all the Bear fans wouldn't be reacting exactly the same way if our game win was a loss instead. I really do think that we have to be careful and not to simply lash out at people who cheer for a different team. If they come on to your board and they're ignorant (Example NFL Solomon) then I think it's fine to pick them apart. But in this case it's completely different. I think Packerzz makes a good point in his explanations AND those comments made me think differently about the hit. What bww said about football also helped to clarify this even more. By no means would I ever put Suh and Mathews on the same page ... Mary was right, I think Suh got dropped on his head by a neglectful mother too many times (the helmet idea IS a good one Mary) and he is just that stupidly brutal.
I'm with you on this Packerzzz ... I haven't worn underwear (unless it was a thong and worn on purpose to attract attention) since I was 14 years old. I hate it and I don't wear it. I've had a number of close calls because of my tendency to go commando like when I wear a power suit or a short skirt. That brings the definition of self awareness into an entirely different place.

baby- although the endorsement is wholly appreciated, it really isn't necessary. I don't mind the Packers slam talk. As a matter of fact, I find it amusing. I was more disappointed in shooting a frickin 96 then I was about the Packer loss. Quite frankly, I was pleasantly surprised on how competitive they were putting themselves in a position to win on the road against the defending NFC Champs (that's right Sol.... I said it) As you know, I always come in peace and every now and then blurt out my two cents on a subject. I have had a lot of friendly banter with many on this board so they know my MO. However when I read nonsensical comments where objectivity is thrown out the window, I will chime in. If that comes across as whining to some, so be it. So please do not "pretty" up the place on my account. I encourage all to continue with the SOP. It is what they do best and one of the many reasons I choose to visit. That said, if some want to "pick me apart"....have at er. Despite what some may think, my skin is thick and I can take it. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go dry my tears and powder my nose.
