    I'm rarely wrong.

    Except for game times.

Phew. Good thing you told me. I would have been one very upset little Bears fan if I turned my t.v. on at 8 tonight ready to watch the game.

That was a pretty good day of football, wouldn't you all agree?

The icing on the cake aside from the Chicago Bears win?

    This game ...

Because when it's all said and done ... the Packers DO suck!

May be off topic, but.... For the record, any one who still thinks Suh isn't a dirty player can shove it.

    No one can defend that.

He had absolutely no reason to make that block. No way Sullivan had a chance to make a tackle.

Clay Matthews got away with clothes lining Kaepernick and then punching Staley in the face, twice. Refs totally blew that call, he should have been ejected.

We have 3 D-Bag dirty players in our division, one on each team. Jared Allen, Clay Matthews and Suh.

    Thanks for the link Mongo.

That was brutal. So was the hit that Mathew put on Kaepernick. That kind of football makes me sick.

    hahahaha

such uber sensitivity issues on this board

Matthews hit was stupid and senseless but it was a continuation play. To put him in the same category of Suh is just biased ignorance

I don't think we're all that sensitive over here Packerzz .. or did you mean this website in general?

What I saw was Mathews launching himself at someone who was clearly going out of play. It looked to me like he had time to make that choice and chose wrong.

Mind you ... I don't know nuthin' bout football ... I just like watching it when it's good and clean.

Matthews left his feet to launch at a guy on the sideline.

I wouldn't put him in the category of Suh but it was clear from him comments leading up to the game that Matthews really wanted to put a licking on Kaepernick. And then he clearly took some swings at Staley when confronted after the hit.

I'm still trying to understand why Staley gets flagged for standing up for his QB.

Not the website in general but this board. Just a few sallies that have their panties in a bunch but mind you, it gives the entire board a bad name.

Now, that out of the way, let's look at this from a different perspective. At regular speed, it certainly looks like a deliberate hit but in slower motion, Matthews launches himself prior to Kaep stepping out of bounds. Was it evident that his intention was to step out of bounds? Maybe. But this is the same guy that torched them for 181 rushing yards in their final game of the season. During that game, I do not recall him ever trying to step out of bounds chosing to extend the play. No doubt that has stuck in their minds of the Packers defense since., and with good reason. Matthews trash talk prior to the game definitely adds fuel to the thought that his intention was to hurt, but as a fan of football first, Packers second, I find it hard to believe. I do not condone his actions especially the scrum with Staley during the aftermath. My opinion is that he should have received two technicals and be tossed from the game.

Again, it was a stupid, undisciplined move in the heat of battle. But dirty?? Negative.

I would suspect that if he was wearing a Bears uniform, it would have been classified as being aggressive. Put on the "enemy" uniform however, and it becomes something different altogether.

  18. I must humbly disagree, brother. As much as I can't deny how much I hate the Packers, a large part of that hatred comes from being FORCED to admire them and their organization. I hate the Packers, but don't hate the players.... and speaking from a place of respect for them, yeah, it was a cheap shot.

I could just as easily reverse what you said and say because he was in a "friendly" uniform, you're gonna defend him.

Ultimately, the only the people that can truly, objectively, call it dirty or clean are those unbiased observers. What is the rest of the league and fandom calling it? From the little I've heard so far, it seems most folks think it was a cheap shot.

So Packerzrules says the board is too senstive but comes on to cry about someone calling a packer player dirty for launching at a player out of bounds and throwing a few punches.

I am not, or will I ever defend what is a clear "cheap shot" nor am I defending his actions. I just don't believe that he is a dirty player based on one senseless act. If you wish to do so, that certainly is your perogative.

The rest of the league and fandom agrees with you? Interestingly enough, I am seeing more objectivity from niners fans on a different site.

    go figger
