This is pretty sound advice. My Dad's advice was if you get in a fight make sure you win. If for some reason you don't win, make sure you know how to lose like a man. I always assumed that meant no hair pulling, biting, or eye gauging.
BWW what the heck does your siggie line mean? I don't need any advice for fighting. I just stay the hell away from all of them. I'm still alive so that proves my system works. What's your explanation bww?
I took my fair share of beatings growing up in Gary...You learn from it and always try to avoid it. When you can't, fight like a Man then act like a Man when it's over.
I totally read that wrong... On a completely unrelated note, why does the word office look so much like the word orifice?
LMAO!!! OHMYGOD MONGO!!! That's the ... no seriously ... that was ... Just friggin' brilliant. Even at my expense.
Sun Tzu, the original self help guru and master of reverse psychology. The Art of War is basically crap. If you are strong, feign weakness. If you are weak, pretend you're stong. If you're near your enemy, make him believe you're far away. If you're far away, make him believe you're near. Basically.........just do the opposite. 200 pages of this guy telling you to do the opposite and believe in yourself. If he were alive today he'd make some awesome infomercials. I'll take Machiavelli over Sun Tzu any day.
Or you could look at it from the perspective of Lao Tzu the father of Taoism and his teachings in the Tao Te Ching ... The Tao abides in non-action, Yet nothing is left undone. If kings and lords observed this, The ten thousand things would develop naturally. If they still desired to act, They would return to the simplicity of formless substance. Without form there is no desire. Without desire there is tranquillity. In this way all things would be at peace.
Machiavelli had it right because he understood man was naturally violent and corrupt. None of this peace and do unto others crap.......remove emotion and take what is yours. If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared. The Book of Five Rings. Very good stuff.
I want to have a fight. I'll bet you I could take any one of you men and land you on your butts in the dust. C'mon ... ask me how I could do that. I'm 5'2" and about 125 lbs. So?
I'd like to see it. I'm 6'2 295 lbs with 6 percent body fat (or 6-pack body fat, or half keg body fat). I guess it depends on how you look at it. Honestly I'm fat and slow with two bad knees and a bum ankle so I'm pretty sure a kick to the legs could put me on my ass.
I did some running as a young guy in and around there. Some rough bars but easy women in Gary back then. I had one uncle at US Steel there, another uncle who worked at South Works. My to be wife worked at Republic Steel, and my Dad and I worked at Wisconsin Steel. Now its all gone. All of those jobs.......Gone. Tragic.
