I can now confirm this phenomenon is not confined to the North American continent, but is in fact fully trans-national. The packers suck! Globally!
I think you can get those in Canada. Not sure whereabouts though, babyfan what province are you in again
Kind of a miscellaneous cite, here, but I felt it was worth bringing up. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...ler-needed-liaison-to-talk-to-bears-mike-tice Cutler and Tice literally didn't talk to each other. McCown was their 'liason'. Wow. Hopefully his involvement with this new staff bodes well for the offense. Another side note, Brandon Marshall kicks ass. Dude is a leader. Right on.
And, one more: http://www.chicagobears.com/multime...k_3_OTAs/83d836f4-18da-4a03-9bd7-9eb33d95db1c OTA highlights. Some good stuff, but look out for the deep Cutler to Alshon completion. Great throw, great catch. No pads and all, but it was pretty impressive.
There was more than one occasion where I felt Cutler was doing his own thing. The first was half way through the season. It was a home game so I was watching live. 2 WR set. Marshal was to the right, Hester was to the left. Forte was in the backfield. The defense shifted to a Cover 1 defense with the FS playing center field. while the SS came up the right side in tandem coverage on Marshall. Hester was by himself with the #2 CB. Both guys run deep patterns, Marshall runs the post, Hester runs a 9 pattern. Hester's first move puts the CB on his butt, while the FS shades right, putting triple coverage on Marshall. Hester is literally so wide open, Cutler could have closed his eyes and hit him. Instead he throws into triple coverage for the pick... The other play was later in the season. I believe it was supposed to be a screen play to forte. Instead of throwing to a wide open Forte, he throws it to Marshall. It was clear Marshall was just running a pattern and not expecting the ball. And yet cutler threw it to him. The reason I remember it so clearly was because as Marshal was running back to the huddle he was yelling at Cutler to stop it... I would say Trestman really needs to be everything he's billed to be or we may see yet another HC gone very quickly.
Great insight. He needs to stop it. Bennett will help. It will make him mind his progressions. It will help everybody.
The area Cutler needs to improve the most is reading his progressions and trusting ALL of his receivers. Take what the defense gives you...
C'est incroyable! Tu m'insultes? Tu m'insultes quoique je suis ?galement un fan de l'?quipe des Bears? C'est pas possible!! I believe this is a challenge and I will have to respond. Okay I need a second ... V what is your choice, guns or sword? I want to warn you in advance that I am proficient in both of those weapons. I will see you at sunset Sir. 8) Bring a doctor, you're going to need one
Just proves what a joke of a coach Tice was. Say what you want about Martz, this would never have happened to him. God, this makes Tice sound even worse than I thought and from anyone who has read my posts about him, I think he is absolutely horrible, one of the worst OC's in the history of football. Nobody had any respect for the guy. Using a backup QB as a liason? Wow that is bad. Lovie should have fired him midseason and let Bates take over if this really was the case, it worked for the Ravens and Cameron wasn't near as bad as Tice. Man what an embarassment, glad this isn't making national news. Packers Suck!!!
Reasons like these are why I'm not upset that Lovie is gone. I would love to see the defense dominate the league for the rest of my life, but I'd also like to see a Super Bowl win. This mismanagement doesn't lead me to believe he'd ever get there, without some real change. As a head coach, your job is to make sure the team is running smoothly. Considering that he wasn't directly responsible for the playcalling on either side fo the ball, his chief responsibilities were management. To have your franchise QB and your OC literally not talking to each other is bad, but it's heinous to have not fixed it. Cutler has been involved with this coaching staff in regards to operation of the offense. I'm a believer that the offense will be sincerely better this year. Edit: But please, let's not let this detract from the fact that the Packers suck.
You'd probably be surprised at how 'on' it really is ginny There is a lot of weird stuff going on in the world today because life is dynamic and not static. Even as tumultuous and often whirlwind changes seem to hit us from every single side there is one thing that we know, from the very bottom of our soul, and that is ... The Packers suck!
One of the big reasons that I hated Tice is that he reminded me of Abe Gibron, another wasted piece of dog doodoo coach of the Bears.
Hmm ... I'm not sure if I saw that or not ginny ... could you please restate that philosophy of yours? Oh and ... The Packers suck!
