His opinion is not any better than anyone elses. Training camp has not even started yet. I'll say this, unless their offensive line coach is some kind of miracle worker, I believe Webb will not be a starter anywhere. Garza maybe.

And that's my general reaction to what any writer says, but here's why I figured it worth posting:
He's seen more than any of us. He's had access to practices, players, and coaches. He's doing a Q&A session on the official team website, for the team itself. This isn't a freelance writer, he's the team's beat writer. He's mentioned several times in his writings this week that he expects up to 3 new starters, which makes sense with his notion that Garza and Webb are back.

We also know Carimi was never competing at RT, neither is Brown or Long... So the competition is Scott and Eben Britton, really. I'd rather see either, but it's not like he's got a recent first round pick behind him, or a FA all-star.

That being said, the two guys I most want out... seem to be in. Not sure what the thinking is. Bright spot is that, you're right, there's a lot of offseason left to fix that.

    I just always think it's implied :p

In my continued efforts to showcase strong and sexy women for you guys, I want to share with you a video that I have always really liked. I think Jenyne's athleticism and control is absolutely amazing. Watch what she does at 3:20 and 3:42. The woman is remarkable.

I ask you ... is there anything more compelling to watch than a woman in absolute control over her body and who can move in ways that are unimaginable?

Happy Canada Day to all of the Canadians out there!!

(I think I'm the only one but whatever ... )

Enjoy your day of non-stop feasting and drinking!

I'm going to an annual party that a friend of mine throws with about 200 guests. My band is playing there so it's going to be sun, lots and lots of drinking, lots of singing and playing guitar ... ultimate frisbee, football, and horse shoes. There's a gigantic pool so I'm going to swim and swim and swim and then a HUGE barbeque with tons and tons of food! After it gets dark he has a fireworks show that is professionally done and then someone can take me home and tuck me into my bed.

Cheers ... let's celebrate Canada Day!!

We have to take this with a grain of salt. He has proven over and over again to be the propaganda minister of the Bears brass. I have no doubt they WANT Garza and Webb to start, but they HAVE TO WIN THE JOB IN CAMP! The new staff better not play favorites...

Oh no... Say it ain't so... That makes me sick.

Hope you had a great time. We will be doing the same in two days. Thanks for the cool front, it feels like September football weather down south... I hope it holds until the end of the week.

    Oh you're welcome Scotty :)

The temperatures in Ontario have been very unseasonable right through Spring til now. There's been very low temperatures with the odd hot day thrown in. Every morning it's in the low 50's here and the daytime highs have only been around 68-70?. This totally sucks. I wait all winter for some hot weather and Mother Nature just doesn't seem to want to comply this summer. At least this far she hasn't.

The party yesterday was awesome. God. I have a real O Canada hangover this morning. I think I'm even going to skip my Tai Chi class coz if anyone even looks at me the wrong way I might take 'em down LOL

Just have them do circleing for the entire class. Or if you have them do push hands they can do that!

Try 100-110 with 80+% humidity... 85-95 the last couple days was reinvigorating... Everybody was doing yardwork.

The constant heat beats you down...

I'm not sure what you mean by circling PHEL ... ? :)

And push hands they hate ... to a person they hate it. It makes me laugh because I love working with a partner :) Today is going to be simple ... just foundation exercises with the emphasis on Tor Yus. They'll love that ;)

I can see how difficult that would be Scotty. That's way too hot for me. I like it around 80 as long as I'm busy outside and there's shade somewhere. The humidity in Ontario is ridiculously high so I get how uncomfortable that would be at such temperatures as what you're experiencing. I guess the lesson is to never complain about what you have because someone else has it much worse than you.

    Good lesson ... thanks :)

I agree, which is why I was bringing it forward. Sounds like the job has already been given, unfortunately. Will be interesting to watch. If the jobs do seem like they've been given, I'll be pretty upset.

Has made me sick each of the times I've been reminded. Would love to have him in Chicago, but it's just awful seeing him in Detroit. One year deal with about half the contract guaranteed. 900 K. That's right, less than a million. I don't remember what Turk McBride got, but I've gotta imagine it's within 1K in either direction... Ugh.

I can't complain about weather - we've been spared the wrath of FL's heat, so far. Now, we've had some pretty intense storms, but the heat/humidity has been holding back 'til later in the summer. I've been having the kids rehearse outside while we can, knowing that the thermometer is going to read 100+ with a billion percent humidity very shortly.

    80-90 is the best.

It is a trade off. While you are freezing your ass off this winter, it will be somewhere between 30-60 down here.

dline probably has it best. You guys at least have a constant breeze during the summer right?

    During the summer.

50-80 year round would be awesome!

Turd McBride better not make the roster. Mongo called it, cut the entrenched leaders to establish a new culture and hierarchy in the locker room.

I think it is stupid and is going to bite them in the ass.

  19. dlinebass5 M.V.P. Bears

No, not really. Most days the humidity just kind of sits there. It's enveloping, really. It does make us appreciate the days we do get a breeze, I guess. Most days you're drier in the shower.

But while I'm trying to properly communicate how tough this weather can be, at times, you're right - we probably have it best, down here. I'd love colder weather for longer, I'd love less humidity during the summer... But the weather during the summer almost forces you into good shape, and the winter is just perfectly cold enough. I certainly can't complain.

Agreed, on all accounts. My first thoughts.
