Laine barely played 10 mins tonight, stuck on 25 goals his stock is dropping fast. Looks like he might not get the big contract with only 34 points in 50 games this season.

He's been useless, doesn't hit, isn't producing and the team has a lot of depth.

 

yikes. wow. so much for him being the next big thing ?

 

He has that one big shot, his skating is bad.

 

wow. again, i don't understand pro scouting these days. much like Nolan Patrick. How the hell did he go #2 overall and almost #1 overall when there are holes in his game ? no way should he went that high. how come NBA's Ben Simmons is so highly rated when he doesn't have an outside shot? who scouts these guys Mr. Magoo ? If Leine's skating is so poor, then why did he go #2 overall ? or former MLB player Manny Ramirez who could barely play the outfield and catch a ball. Isn't catching the freaking ball an essential part of being a pro baseball player? i don't get it???

 

He's a goal scorer and by far had the best one timer, hard to pass on him at the draft. He still might end up with 40 goals this year. The problem is if he isn't putting the effort to backcheck, he also isn't a playmaker. When he's in a slump he kills you. If he was on a weaker team they would have to ride it out. The jets have depth to put other players out there that could help them win.

They just have to hope he turns it around for the playoffs because the jets want to go for it all this season.
