    Johnny Manziel 5'11 3/4" 210 lbs

Other high quality athletes in the NFL who get hit more on a weekly basis than a QB..

    A.J. Green 6'3" 207 lbs
    Antonio Brown 5'10" 189 lbs
    Julio Jones 6'3" 220 lbs
    Alshon Jeffery 6'3" 216 lbs
    Randall Cobb 5'10" 192 lbs
    Larry Fitzgerald 6'3" 218 lbs
    Jamaal Charles 5'11" 199 lbs
    LeSean McCoy 5'11" 207 lbs
    Adrian Peterson 6'1" 217 lbs
    Matt Forte 6'2" 218 lbs
    Marshawn Lynch 5'11" 215 lbs
    Reggie Bush 6'0" 203 lbs

Oh, and the guy some of you want in the draft at #4

    Sammy Watkins 6'1" 200 lbs

Enough with this frail 10 year old build mentality...Johnny Manziel is built better than many of the stars in this league that takes 3 times as many hits as he will on a Sunday afternoon. He knows how to slide, he looks for he sidelines when running and he is not a frail flower running around and stopping to let a 250 lb linebacker hit him like a tackling dummy.

It's time to face the music 2 weeks and 24 hours from now, this could be your shiny new QB...at least we can only hope he is!!

we hope ? you mean you hope . I hope not .

I just want to win and go into public proud of my QB...It has been a long hard road...

I am so sick of losing

You act as if the folks on here that aren't getting a stubby over Johnny "Football" Manziel are content with the losing.

This just in . . . WE AREN'T !! Personally, I've been taking crap about the Cleveland Browns for going on 50 years (although the late 1980's was a refreshing break). That's longer than you've been alive.

It's as simple as this, my friend . . . I (and a few others on here) do not share your high opinion of Johnny Manziel. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, please don't come across as some high and mighty draft guru / talent evaluator and attempt to prove everyone else is wrong when it comes to our opinions.

Ahem . . . that list of NFL players and their heights and weights . . . you do realize that half of them are receivers and are NOT allowed to be hit (or even grabbed) by a defender until after they catch the ball? Once a QB starts to scramble, he's fair game. The other half of the list is RB's. I would expect a RB (no matter his size) to be able to withstand a hit. Even with that, what is the life span of a RB in the NFL? What is the life span of a legitimate starting QB in the NFL?

I've changed my mind about 15 times on this. Now I'm thinkin we should take the surefire impact player at #4. Preferably Sammy Watkins of course. Then focus on the QB later in the round. I'm not truly convinced that any of these QB's are worth #4 overall. Who the hell knows what I'll think tomorrow? lol! This I'm certain of - I DO NOT want to hear the commish say, "with the 4th pick, the Cleveland Browns select Derek Carr".lol...I'll be pissed if they do that. Seriously. If he's the guy, okay fine, then trade down and pick up an extra 2nd rounder. Don't just leave everybody shakin their heads ...

  6. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

I've been on the impact player at #4 bandwagon for quite some time now. In fact, my guy was Sammy Watkins. However, as of late, I'm tending to change that to Mike Evans.

After all, he's the guy that made Johnny Manziel look good. :p

  7. TopDawg Legend

I love big WR's Lym....Mike Evans fits the bill. Wouldn't it be great if they could figure a way to get Johnny Manziel AND Evans?! Now THAT would be a solid first round for the Browns...

  8. TopDawg Legend

It pretty much depends on the Rams...I don't see the Texans or Jags taking Watkins, so it's all about what St. Louis does at #2.....If Sammy is there at #4, Farmer should go get him. What a dynamic duo he and Gordon would make!!! The thing is, I think that's what Ray Farmer wants...I hope so. Maybe Im just dreamin.

  9. Top Dawg, sure fire pick at #4 Watkins? If he was that sure fire he would go #1.....btw, he is anything but the sure thing since he was a system based WR that didnt excel vs the elite teams.

  10. TopDawg Legend

    smh...

Geezus really? Whatever you say SS...Did I not just contemplate my concern that he will go at #2?? Give me a break...No, you're right. "Surefire" is a bad choice of words. No such thing. How about "blue chip prospect"??? Is that okay? Can we call Sammy Watkins a blue chipper? Or are you going to tell me that he's just an average prospect that's nowhere near ready for the next level? Because quite honestly, I'm done defending the top prospects of this draft class as if I'm the only one that sees a potential star...Moving the draft back has really taken it's toll on some of the perspectives around Brownstown evidently. lol!

  12. Not sure what ur saying bout going #2, but I consider Watkins more of a risk than Manziel.....I look at his games vs FSU(2), S. Car(2) and LSU and see very little production....these are all physical defenses that would bully him at the LOS and he made no impact cause he wasnt getting the little bubble screens and quik screens and then making a play.

  13. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

    That's pretty good, I'll admit...

    Now imagine for a second...

This kid is garnering enough attention to have songs written about him before he is ever drafted to a new home...

What happens to this town if his magic translates to the next level? (I know IF is the biggest 2 letter word in our language)

Wouldn't you want to be a part of that?

  14. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

Yeah, but those 3 schools may have better CBs than the Steelers and Ravens...

  15. That could b true....I expect both PJ Williams and Darby to b #1 draft picks when they come out and then throw in J . Ramsey and u culd have 3

As long as is translates into ...

"with the 32nd pick in the 20xx draft the Cleveland Browns select..."

    For the next 10 years.

Heck ya I'll be glad to be a part of that.

But if it means we continue ot hear

"with the 1st/2nd/3rd/4th, pick in the 20xx draft the Cleveland Browns select..."

    Then...

[h]IF[/h], Ray Farmer selects JF to be the future QB of the Browns.

I'll rally behind him like every other Browns fan. I'm just not sold that JF is the best QB in this draft.

    Fair enough....

    I concede...

I'll see you all in two weeks from tonight...

This will be my last Anti-Manziel post.

I think I have compiled enough evidence to show how skewed is stats are.

Besides looking at his flawed mechanics, his lack of feel for the pocket, enthusiasm towards running, missing open receivers to make a big play and lack of size... Against teams that finished inside the top 15 of the AP Top 25 his average game would be going 25/38 for 291 yds...less than >1 TD and >1 INT. He was also 44% accurate against the blitz, however this stat is not broken down to cover the same sample size. He was also 1-6 in those 7 games.

This is nothing to chant ::SUPERBOWL SUPERBOWL:: about.
