It was nice too see the "Westcoast Express Line " drop the puck last night. Nashlund.............Morrison.........Bertuzzi.............they were good in their time. BUT will be forever remember for Big Berts punch on Miller.
all teams hit a wall with injuries and travel. ian, the author of the above post is not a fan of the canucks. he is a reporter. whether the nucks come back strong in the new year or dwindle at the finish line is not an issue. they have started getting solid foundation in the minors. there is no 20 years of oil change coming. solid goalies coming up the pipeline, pick up a few young defensemen in free agency and bang, back at the top.
i am so done with higgy, i'll give you a bag of pucks, a signed luongo hockey stick and a kesler jersey to see him gone
http://canucksarmy.com/2016/1/18/ji...-and-exploring-avenues-for-improving-the-team Benning talking about stuff. Not alot of meat in there but it's interesting enough for a Wednesday.
I like Benning - a lot. Or at least I did when Buffalo was vetting possible GM's. I also like a GM that takes bold and decisive action. I would abhor being a Jets fan. Generally, however, I prefer to discern a plan, and that has eluded me so far with the Nucks. Can someone help me out a bit and enlighten me on the team-building philosophy/strategy?
Yeah, especially in the division. Calgary is getting someone who is looking good in the AHL; he could have a nice career and make Vancouver regret this every time they play each other.
I think one of the best perks of keeping Hamhuis is that he should help them get a few more points in the standings. Everything is going according to Benning's plan.
Thatcher Demko is set up for a good weekend. The Boston College goalie and his Eagles will square off against Quinnipiac in the Frozen Four on Thursday. The next day, Demko could win the Hobey Baker Award. It would be the ideal sendoff for Demko, Vancouver?s second-round pick in 2014 and the second goalie taken that year. Demko is expected to turn pro and forego his senior season. He?s ready to do so. Demko is 27-7-4 with a 1.85 goals-against average and .936 save percentage. If Demko has a strong first AHL season, he could contend for NHL work in 2017-18. Ryan Miller and Jacob Markstrom will become unrestricted after 2017. http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/h...nto-nhl-job/8FZTexD7tnVtZQHzV4uFeK/story.html
