This guy says he wants to retire a Steeler but won’t play for what would still be the highest paid RB in the league.
I am sure his agent is screwing with his mind. LVB is on the decline and I truly hope he does not suit up for a game this year. I am actually happy he declined the Steelers FAIR offer. He isn’t going to get much more guaranteed money and the pride factor and agent is screwing with him. I am not saying the Steelers will be fine but it’s time to depart ways. On the other hand, Vance McDonald could be a monster in this league! I am comparing him to Travis Kelce and even Rob Gronkowski. He’s big, fast and if healthy could be a pro bowler. I just wish!!!!!! I like JuJu and hope he doesn’t get greedy! He will unfortunately, but hoping he never becomes a distraction! Bozz is still a great kicker, but it’s totally mental at this point. I think he will pull through. Take care, JMac
Yeah, that's the kicker. Bell will get his way soon enough and he very well might find that there is no team out there willing to give him even what the Steelers offered. This is a REALLY BAD example, because he isn't even at the top of his position, let alone a the level of Bell...But, Terrelle Pryor turned down multiple deals that would have given him more money over 4 seasons, than he will probably now earn over the rest of his career simply because he felt he was owed more. So he bet on himself, signed a one year contract and boom... he's now making less than he would have had he signed. The Browns offered a 4 year $32.5M deal, $17M guaranteed. He made $8M in 2017 and is now making $4.28M in year two of his bad decision. He will probably end up with somewhere around $24M over those same 4 years. Again, I realize teams will be fighting for Bell, that isn't a great example...BUT, the most expensive RB in the entire NFL right now makes around $14.3M, that's Gurley, so even if he wants to beat Gurley's deal, he will only average about $15M per year over a 4 year deal.... So, the Steelers offer of 5 Yr/ $70M or an average of $14M should have been signed by him if he planned on sitting out this season. Now, even if he signs that $4 yr/60M deal, he would have lost out on $14.5M playing this year, which would take the 5 year average out to $ 12M per year, so the only think he gains is one less year of wear and tear. Obviously, that's only if he sits all season, which is seemingly more of an option each week that passes.
I read somewhere he is getting fat....maybe he just doesn't care all that much and is dedicated to rapping and partying and maybe even partaking in the weed associated with some of his prior plane missing shenanigans?
Re: Fat Bell Sauce? Link? And Sara at the deli said he was caught fucking a bus load of dead alligators while a small Pride Parade danced and partied away.
Did you guys see where James Harrison said Le'Veon should return to the Steelers and fake an injury? Classy. What is Harrison's problem? Yo James. You got old and slow. It happens to all players. Stop your pouting and hating.
Yes, I saw that... Now, if he does come back and gets injured (which is a real possibility since he won't be at the same level as those around him being off so long) the media will EAT IT up that he is faking to get out of playing. Harrison should have stayed out of it.
Bell would get smeared. He would just lose more reputation/attraction for other teams. He and his agent are not playing this well, in my opinion. And Bell is getting OLDER every day. His window is shrinking every day. He is missing money every day. Holding out for a long term deal? Is he in cryogenic sleep?
James Harrison would have you believe that the Steelers just put players out to pasture. Off the top of my head, players that were drafted by the Steelers and retired as Steelers; happy with their contracts: Heath Miller Troy Polamalu Hines Ward Big Booger Nose (likely) Casey Hampton Aaron Smith and more
Pretty sure Polamalu wasn’t happy when he retired. I thought there was some bad blood between him and the organization.
Unlike a lot of those guys Harrison was signed by the team and was led to believe (though he could have misunderstood) that he would be playing and not just riding the pine. When it didnt happen he felt betrayed by the organization. has he acted childish since then? Yes but who Steelers fans to call someone childish when they themselves are guilty of it time after time. Need an example? Just look at the number of fans trying to say Bell was never any good or When AB tweeted trade me how many Steelers fans rushed to twitter, message boards or other social media to say get rid of him he is past his prime and done and Ben makes him better anyways.
