If Philly is in the playoffs....everyone wants to play them.

The "no one wants to play them" stuff is fan talk. Every team in the league would say yes to traveling to Foxboro to play in the playoffs in spite of the Patriots home record in the playoffs....because it means you are also in the playoffs.

Teams aren't scared to play other teams regardless of the setting.

The Eagles are a flawed team that has no business being at the top of any division this season. Most teams would welcome the opportunity to play them in January....whether it's in Philly or anywhere else.

The way this season started for the Steelers I will be glad if we are in the playoffs. Of coarse I'm spoiled and greedy and want more.

Jesus, Cat. And the weather sucks in Green Bay, and in Chicago, and in New England. It's cold in Kansas City.

The team that EVERY playoff contender would want to face is Philly. The reason? They suck. It has EVERYTHING to do with wins and losses.

that's your opinion. so if they win out and go 9-7, they still don't deserve it ? 9-7 is better than 7-9 and winning the Division.

axe-we're not talking about those teams! are you following the conversation ? we're talking about philly and everyone thinks it's an easy win bc they stink. i think the weather in philly plays a factor come jan and an easy win won't be that easy.

It's not that a team like the Eagles shouldn't be an easy win for someone, it's that teams get that thought in their heads and wind up falling flat on their face. Even if a team royally sucks if you don't come to play you could get your ass kicked.

ok. you guys don't think the weather matters? didn't the eagles and lions become the first team to not attempt a kick PAT in blizzard 5 or 6 yrs ago? it wasn't a playoff game but the storm hit earlier than expected and snow dropped over 7 inches in an hour at kickoff? qbs couldn't hold onto the ball and rbs were slipping and sliding all over the place? let it snow in NE, Chic, GB etc. I think playing anything in bad weather matters even for good teams. Hell the Eagles could squeak out a win if it's a slop fest and the other team struggles. haha. At this point, I'll take a W vs Washington for starters. haha.

Weather helps if your playing a warm weather team. What if the Eagles had to go to Miami for a playoff game. They might get heat exhaustion.

The NFC East is probably one of the worst divisions collectively that I can remember in recent history. Not just record wise.....but the makeup and flaws of the teams involved.

    Just my opinion.

Are you incapable of adding 2+2 and getting 4?

Aren't Green Bay, New England, and Kansas City in the playoffs...?

You're making this out to be that because the weather here is lousy in January that the Eagles suddenly become this dynamo that everyone's petrified of. The weather in other cities WITH BETTER FOOTBALL TEAMS also sucks. And if you think for one minute teams are thinking, "gee, I'm glad I have to play the 13-3 49ers or 12-4 Packers or 12-4 Saints instead of the 9-7 (maybe) Eagles," you're flat-out deluding yourself.

  13. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Very tough to argue against that.

how far is "your recent history" go back?

2010 NFC WEST had EVERY team with a losing record and a 7-9 team won the division title.

2014 Carolina wins the division with a 7-8-1 record and wins a playoff game.

axe you're adding on crap that im not talking about. no dynamo axe. just not the easy win gid, bww and lyman are assuming and chalking up. again the posts above mention teams just rolling over the NFC EAST Champion like playing the Girl Scouts. Granted the Girls are tough and the Eagles lost to some bad teams and barely beat other bad teams. All I'm saying is don't book your tickets to the next round just yet if the weather turns lousy that weekend. That's it.

If you're hoping for a blizzard or extremely foul weather to help your team...your team probably isn't very good to begin with.

If you’re confused by the word recent I can’t help you cat. And that’s why I said “one of the worst”. Which would hint there are a few others that could be included.

Has there ever been a conversation here that didn’t feature you taking it too seriously and turning into an emotional bitch?

  18. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Anything can happen in single-game elimination, and weather can play a part.

That said, the Eagles are the team EVERYONE would want to face come playoff time. Period, end of story.

like i said at this point axe, i'll take anything for a damn win! give me belichek's video guys cell # ? hahahahaha

Cat...I never said Eagles would be an easy win. I said no one is afraid to play them as you tried to say.

Either learn to comprehend or back out of the conversation. Don’t invent words I didn’t type.
