Goff is legit. If they can find him some receivers that can hold onto the ball and put a non-sieve OL in front of him before he gets pummeled into submission David Carr-style.
Fortunately for them, their defense is stout enough they can probably focus almost entirely on offense (draft + free agency) this off-season.
Why don't the Jets play Hakenburg? What do they have to lose? A couple of picks worse draft pick isn't worth not seeing him on tape.
It eventually had to come to fruit that Wentz would not play the way he started out. A few games and defenses would be able to figure him out. Prescott has a better supporting cast and Zeke Elliott. The Eagles don't have the OL, RB or receivers Dallas does. If Wentz was in Dallas he'd have a lot more wins imo.......As for Goff, I liked him better than Wentz as he played against bigger and better teams in college. That's just my opinion and doesn't mean Wentz won't be better. He's a big strong kid. The question probably will be... Is he a franchise QB or just an average QB? Not sure we'll know the answer to that until he has a better supporting cast.....
I did not rig this. I just picked games. I did swap my Bills pick this week to the Steelers to be more realistic. Only thing I influenced was letting the Eagles win out just because I'm a fan lol. vs Washington, Baltimore and Giants isn't too farfetched. The Dallas win at the end is only because the Cowboys would have already clinched the #1 seed. Then I look and lol the Eagles and Bills are both in the playoffs. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/mac...0874696~2~400874694~2~400874690~1~400874692~2
Is Derek Carr throwing to the current best WR duo in Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree? A quick glance around the league shows no other roster with 2 starting wideouts that are legitimate #1 options. Is there a duo out there that can supplant them as the top of the food chain in the near future? Courtesy of the most recent draft class, and a player exceeding expectations after making a position change, I see three different pairs that could make the jump.
The Browns are, once again, one of the most intriguing teams for me to assess going into the 2017 off-season. There are some bright spots that are extremely obvious, but when looking at recent history, free agency has not been kind to Cleveland both in resigning their own and acquiring new. There are moves that could be made to secure an immediately brighter future if the front office is willing to pay, but it is still an unknown if the relatively new ownership is willing to spend big money on talent.
The AFC South will retain it's title as the worst division in football, but what does that specifically say for the 6-6 Titans? At 1-3 in their division and having been swept by the Colts it's easy to argue that Tennessee's 6-6 record is paper thin. However, the Titans are 8th in total team offense, 5th in passing touchdowns, 7th in rushing touchdowns and have managed to limit turnovers to the point of being 10th in the league. The arrow is pointed up for Tennessee and with what appears to be huge question marks at the coaching position for Jacksonville, Indianapolis and possibly Houston, all within the window of the next 2 seasons, we could be watching the beginning of the Titans move to the top of the South for an extended period of time.
Only team I can think of off the top of my head that could challenge them is the Broncos Thomas and Sanders. Could use a better QB throwing them the ball because I doubt their numbers compare with Siemian and Lynch playing QB. Don't the Bucs have a pretty good duo with Jackson and Evans?
It's a good suggestion and I think you can make an argument for either one of those pairs. To give my opinion on it - Sanders is a complimentary receiver only and I don't view him as a sound #1 option (although on a team like the Rams he is a lightning shot upgrade over anything they have on the roster). Vincent in his prime would have been a lock with Evans as two legit number one options but at this point in his career I no longer value him as a #1 wideout.
Saints and Giants look to have a good chance. Cook & Thomas are arguably already both #1s. Shepard showed promise but is still a bit away. Can he make the jump? Any team with a current #1 can get 2 #1s after an offseason. In special cases teams with none can get 2. Jacsonville went from 2 to none in one offseason while both wee still on the roster. It can reverse. Seahawks are another if Lockett can bounce back after his injury riddles season. And the Cardinals can have 2 although their most promising young WR in John Brown may be calling it a career due to his sickle cell trait. Still We could see Fitz and Floyd or even Jaron Brown (or John) step up as #1s if Arizona can bounce back next season.
Chiefs? MaClin and Hill or the Lions? Tate, Jones, or Boldin (pick 2 if not two they may be the best right now when you look at top 3 WR on a team). Then againt here are the Packers with Nelson, Adams, and Cobb.
