I'm wondering how quickly it changes once everyone declares. It seems like it hits a point every year where the talking heads are afraid to go off on their own and they begin to huddle together like a bunch of chickens in the rain. I forget that CBS even ranks players. They are pretty lousy at updating info.
They get nfldraftscout to do it all for them minus mocks. And no they do update it fairly often the past few years, it's just that their rankings are usually a bit more different than others are to eachother.
I think you nailed it with your coaches hot seat status above - at least in terms of how it should be. Two of the "shoulda been gone yesterday" group play their home games in CA, and things are different there. I will not be at all surprised if Kelly is given another year. I actually think Fisher may be in LA next year too.
Agreed. There is some real potential for the type of game that can showcase just how unbelievably good the NFL product is.

Why, even as a Browns fan, it's difficult to talk draft this early. You could rank a top 32 "first round" and have 6 guys not even declare for the draft. Wasted time watching their game film, etc... I'll still do it, simply because I don't have anything better to talk about right now...
Is it possible that New England will try to move Rob Gronkowski this off-season? It will be the first year in his contract where NE would save money by not having Rob on their roster (1 mil). His cap hit starting in 2018 is 11 mil and goes up to 12 in 2019. Suffering a ruptured disk and the need for surgery will likely end his 2016 season. This will be his third disclosed back surgery. As great as Gronk can be when he is on the field, without a renegotiated contract the possibility of Rob getting moved is probably higher than what some would think.
If any team would tell Gronk to F off it would be New England. But Gronk will get paid if he hit the market. Is this the beginning of the end for him? It all depends how he heals. If he has a full recovery he would probably still be the best TE in the league for the next 3+ years with possibly the exception of a Graham resurgence or Eifert hitting the next level.
Jordan Reed can jump into the argument as well. While we all know it can change year to year Hunter Henry who has shown some flashes in his rookie season may be throwing his hat into this argument in 2 to 3 years.
If this is his 3rd back surgery, how could he ever have a FULL recovery? Not sure there will ever be a FULL recovery as long as he's getting hit playing the game. Ask Mario Lemieux about bad backs. He was always dealing with one that kept him out of some games or probably couldn't play at the level he was used too. And football is a little more violent than hockey.....
Well in performance terms Full recovery doesn't necessarily mean how he heals in terms of reinjuring, but more in how his back moves and feels. It could feel perfect but it doesn't mean he isn't getting injured again because it won't ever be 100% right.
I agree with that Joe. I had thought about that also. Imo, I think it means he's more injury prone and less likely to play longer than he would like......
Eagles showing they need WRs. Drop after drop week after week, not to mention no separation. Matthews only bonafide starter, but probably slot only on a good team.
Matthews as a slot, DGB on one side as the 2 and a quality receiver in the draft changes the dynamic. It gives a decent reception target and chain mover in the slot and a large bodied threat with big play potential on one side. Then you need the third piece. Drafting a player like Corey Davis instantly makes that group balanced and spreads the defensive backfield across the line of scrimmage giving Wentz easier reads presnap and more potential for open targets at all 3 levels.
