during the NFC Title game, they said the first part and not the second part. So what pick do they get now from Minny ? None ? The broadcast made it seem like still a 3rd round pick ?

    Eagles have a #1 (last pick, first round), no #2, no #3, two #4s, two #5s, a #6, no #7.

The Eagles lose their second-round pick as the final piece of the trade that brought Carson Wentz to Philadelphia in 2016. They send their third-rounder to the Bills along with receiver Jordan Matthews to acquire cornerback Ronald Darby before the season. They earned two extra fourth-rounders by trading defensive back Eric Rowe to New England and quarterback Sam Bradford to the Vikings, but sent that Minnesota pick to Miami for Jay Ajayi during the 2017 season. No 7th rounder because they upgraded to a fifth by sending offensive lineman Matt Tobin to Seattle.

Unless they make a move, then yeah - a good 5 hour wait Day 1, then nothing Day 2.

yeah i'll pass on watching this year. the only good part is Goodell saying "The Super Bowl Champion Eagles are on the clock." lol

Now if Howie can pull off a miracle trade, then I might tune back in.

This has me very curious. Jimmy has been pretty damn frugal over his first 6 years. It will be interesting to see if he lets Dorsey go hog wild. It's not monopoly money.

You have to add the Giants to that list as well. Simms and Hostetler.

I think Haslem has stayed out of it for the most part. They have built this chest of money over the past 3 years.

    2017 $60M cap space
    2016 $46M cap space
    2015 $22M cap space
    2014 $21M cap space
    2013 $14M cap space

Jimmy hasn't been against spending money, his former hire Sashi Brown was....

His NEW hire John Dorsey, well, let's just say he is quite the opposite and Paul DePodesta will need to work hand in hand with him to make sure the cap issue doesn't become a problem, 2/3/4 years down the road.

HE WILL SPEND in 2018...for the right free agents, IF they are willing to overlook the 1-31 record.

One thing nobody is talking about is how the new helmet rule could really change the running game in the NFL. RBs generally stick their head down and run into the pile especially in short yardage situations. If you have 3rd & inches and they flag your RB for 15 for lowering his head. How long will coaches run in short yardage situations if they are scared of personal foul penalties?

All linemen are taught to go low and work up, how does the initial contact work?

That rule change (helmet rule) is going to cause nothing but trouble and more confusion. I swear during the off-season these higher-ups are so frickin bored they just sit around and talk shit without thinking it through... kinda like my post right now. All the changes being implemented are nothing but trouble for the league, the players and the officials. It isn't simplified its just more complicated and is a very blatant attempt to change the game as we know it.

RBs are trained to lower their head and drive the pile. How can you pick up one yard if you can’t lower your head? Linemen bump their heads together all the time.

Are they going to call this on offensive players? No more running backs head first into a pile, or diving over at the goal line or QB sneaks??????

No one knows for sure, but the language in the rule as reported makes it sound that way..
