I will agree he wasn't criminally "charged", but he sure as hell was accused. It was a civil suit, so, I guess that makes it all ok....

You are talking about the young woman at the club, where body guards took up a sentinel post outside the bathroom during the accusation of assault, in which the girl came out, told management, then went home, reported it the next day because she was too drunk to walk, the police show up at the club and the bathroom was cleaner than it had been in decades. But, sure, let's not talk about that one either.

All that is false. It wasn't a civil suit. She never sued him. It was reported that night - by her friends, not her. She went to the hospital. Rape kit was administered. Prosecutor said no crime occurred.

 

Reread it Beach, I’m talking about Tahoe, not the one you keep bringing up which is egregious in its own right. All I said is THAT ONE is probably worse, but nothing came of it. The rape allegation, was a civil suit settled out of court.

The Giants scored but the officials like usual have close and conclusive equate to inconclusive. The ball crossed the plane before they fumble it but they have the fumble, scoop and defensive score stand instead. 14-point swing.

So they don't want officials blowing plays dead early if they should've continued so they try to let it play out. But then when reviewing they also don't want to over rule the officials unless its clear and incontrovertible.

There's a clear flaw in this philosophy and we just saw it play out and really hurt the Giants.

 

And they have a habit of not calling something clear what it is if it's close.

 

I hate the "stands" vs "confirmed / overturned" stuff. The call on the field typically holds way too much weight. It's gotta get reworked, because something that should be taking pressure and responsibility from the refs is instead just emphasizing those things.

I don't know the play in question, it's just something that happens all the time and I hate it.

 

The Jaguars are fucking idiots for still wanting to leave for London on Thursday evening. They really want to do Wednesday practices and then sit out the storm. There is a big chance the storm could hit Jacksonville with considerable strength as a cat 2. Why not just leave on Wednesday? Even then it could speed up.

 

Good news is it is weakening quickly. It just dropped to a cat 4 and could be a cat 3 by the middle of Tuesday. Still. You don't fuck with a low cat hurricane or a tropical storm.

Stefanski, Pierce and Mayo are causing more issues on their teams than the players themselves. Some of these just mentioned HC's may just be puppets on a string, but i dont understand their reasoning or their post-game comments on the future or current direction of their teams.

MAYO... seems to refuse to give the Patriots any chance at gaining game experience on their obvious choice of the future in Drake Maye. Why does he refuse to keep running Brissett out there when its not working? Repeating the same operation even after gaining no results is a form of insanity, but he dogmatically insists Brissett is QB1 even when all the fans at Gillette Stadium are booing their beloved product on the field.

PIERCE... Nobody on the Raiders and self-admittedly by Pierce, know who the starting QB even is. Im not an expert in anything, but I know that confusion and uncertainty is a cancer. Raiders have many other issues, but a consistent player such as a leader in QB might go a long way in building some team confidence.

STEFANSKI... ends the last abysmal Browns game by telling the media after the game, there will be no change at QB, Watson is the guy. I cant even believe that he would immediately say this, unless its already pre-determined by the head honchos over him that that is going to be the case. If the higher-ups have written Watson name in stone as the #1QB, Stefanski needs to grow a pair and stand up to the clowns that make him do this. I understand that half the Browns team is injured, including RB's and half the offensive line, but if you leave things as status quo, then what would anyone expect to happen?

The Browns really have no choice. It is what it is. They paid the man, they finally have a draft pick in 2025, so ride or die. Let him get his ass kicked by the offensive line, that is being affected just as much by his inconsistent irrational movement out of the pocket than with their incompetence.

The rest of the team is responding the way you'd expect from a lack of leadership. At this point, it is one of the longest shots in history that they would pull themselves out of this hole to make the playoffs, so I say I don't give a shit if they lose.

In all cases, when they did tell someone about it immediately afterwards, they were met with dismissal, victim blaming, and even in some cases, outright defense of the rapist. And to be very clear, these are just the women I know about and have close relationships with. You widen that scope to women that you've met and haven't told you, and I guarantee that every person here has met someone / knows someone personally who's been in the exact same situation.
