This is a really interesting question. I am not sure that you can go wrong if you take Mahomes, Allen, Burrow or Herbert... but I think I would have Murray a distant 5th out of this group.

Mahomes and Allen can probably physically do things no other humans on the planet are capable of. Burrow is so smooth... But Herbert? Man I watch that kid play and I am just so damn confident he is going to do whatever the hell he wants to do. I almost feel like Herbert is a hybrid of Mahomes and Burrow... As much as I freaking love Mahomes, as much as I loved him as a prospect, right now I think I have more confidence in Justin Herbert to simply assert his will against an opponent than any other QB (not named Brady) in the league. You can honestly make a really strong case for any of these guys. The easy money is on Mahomes. The smart money is probably on Burrow. But *MY* money is on Herbert.

Just curious, in debating between Allen and Mahomes, does it change anyone's mind if Allen leads Buffalo to a win this weekend in KC?

Doesnt change my pick it would still be Mahomes. Just like those choosing Allen will not change their pick if Mahomes and the chiefs win.

I agree. I feel like the talent we've seen displayed by these guys makes it a relatively safe bet that they all would have thrived in Mahomes' situation. That said, I take nothing away from Patrick. He's been sensational. I don't think it hurt that he grew up in the environment he did, with his father being an MLB star.

    Fair enough.
Well, Mahomes and the Chiefs are expected to win according to odds, so that's why I asked. Just wondering if an upset by Allen and the Bills would sway any takes.

If the Bills win and Allen has a great game then he certainly adds a lot of credibility to his name. To me Allen still has moments where he completely shits the bed. Not saying other guys don't....but those moments are easy to overlook when you've been to the biggest stage and won. They're easier to remember when your fingers are empty.

Marino was mentioned earlier. His postseason stats are worse than his regular season stats. Like or not...that will always be a mark against the man.

Allen had a monster game last weekend. If he continues to plow through the postseason like that or anything close to it...he makes the conversation a lot harder.

He's kinda had the best of everything in terms of luck. Except for having a brother that's an idiot.

The team he was dropped into certainly aids him. Football isn't played in a vacuum....every situation for every player is different. Would David Carr had been a better pro had he not been drafted by a dumpster fire expansion team? Maybe. Jay Cutler may have turned out differently in Chicago if they didn't wait so long to give him weapons and protection. I think if you take a QB like Archie Manning and drop him into today's NFL and he would pick apart defenses. So much changes in the theoretical.

Not for me no. Still love Pat. Having to deal with his brother is probably the only thing that could change my opinion on that guy.

Allen is my pick, but I'd be okay with Pat...

FTR: when you hear the name Pat, it's hard not to think of classic SNL...

This weekend has no bearing on evaluating Josh’s prospects for the next 10 years. His play style is ripe for a Cam-esque post-30 drop off.

Im taking Tennessee at home, 31-21. Titans D should shut down the Bengals on the road.

Green Bay at home is a lock usually for the Packers, SF makes it close, but Pack prevail, 28-24.

UPSET ALERT in FLA - I like the Rams to upset the Buccaneers in dramatic fashion... a 1 point game, maybe OT. Rams 35, Buccs 34.

KC too much at home with an offense that is gelling just at the right time. Chiefs should roll, 42-21.

He's in a terrible/tough situation. Hard to carry a team when the team is broken... including the staff.

Cincinnati at Tennessee - On the heels of ending their 31 year playoff victory drought, I'd like to see the Bengals get their first EVER road playoff win. Unfortunately, the well rested Titans at home will be too much. Getting Hendrickson back from concussion protocol is of major Importance for Cincy, but Losing Ogunjobi really hurts, especially with the likely return of King Henry. Titans 30, Bengals 24....

San Francisco at Green Bay - 49ers have been fun to watch this year. I think they have a real shot to pull off the upset if Jimmy G can play mistake free football. He doesn't have to be perfect. Just don't give it away. The Browns turned it over 4 times and still almost won in Green Bay on Christmas Day, so it can be done. Oh what the hell, I think I just talked myself into the upset pick...49ers 24, Packers 21...

Los Angeles at Tampa Bay - It's really hard to bet against Brady in the postseason yet I regrettably seem to do it every year. Why break precedence now? Plus I really think LA is the better team. Rams 34, Bucs 24...

Buffalo at Kansas City - This is the game I'm most looking forward to, and provided the weather isn't crazy, I'm expecting fireworks galore. Should be the highest scoring game of the weekend, and potentially an all-timer if these QB's stay hot. For the second time this season, Josh Allen gets it done in KC. Bills 44, Chiefs 40

It's an awesome slate of games. Taking three road teams is a little scary. lol! I could easily see all 4 going the other way...Should be a great weekend of NFL football.

Cincinnati at Tennessee - I think Borrows is playing his best ball right now. This offense may go as far as Chase takes them. I think Borrows will spread the ball around, but they are going to have to keep up with the Titans I think. It is getting a little scary in Nashville, Henry back AND Julio Jones is healthy to compliment AJ Brown. In the end I think the Titans are just enough back to health to end the Bengals season. Titans win 34-30

San Francisco at Green Bay - I don't think the 49ers are capable of getting the feeling back in their toes and fingers in this one. Packers already know how to dress for 7 degree weather and a true home field advantage... Packers roll 27-13

Los Angelos at Tampa Bay - This one is going to be fun, I believe. In the end, I think Stafford makes a costly mistake and allows Tom terrific to make it back to the NFC Championship game. Buccaneers win 31-27

Buffalo at Kansas City - This is going to be a fun defensive battle with very little opportunity for points to be scored {scratching record sound}. Weather in Kansas City is going to be perfect for an all out, who has the ball last battle. I think this will come down to who kicks the least field goals. I just think that Buffalo's health is a little better, which will allow them to keep a good rotation on offense. I think this is the ONE road team to win this weekend, Buffalo in a thriller 35-33 (with Kansas city kicking 2 FGs, but missing a 2 point try to tie, how's that for specifics?)

I can’t recall a divisional weekend with games this exciting. All 4 games have been great.
