Tim, how are you sending out the notifications that we have to give our random opinion? I don't want to be suspended for missing mine.
It's your responsibility to know. You're lucky we missed you. I pulled your name out randomly but before we made it official someone else we contacted already was randomly selected for the dozenth time by Tim instead.
Ya know, I dislike Cam Newton about as much as anyone in the NFL...but I kind'a agree with him on this. If someone even LOOKS at Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers cross-eyed it's a flag; Newton gets hit in the head and it's "oh, it wasn't FORCIBLE."
Boo Hoo like cam is the only QB to get beat up and not get the calls of Brady and Rogers. Maybe if he wouldnt make an ass of himself all the time someone would care.
Antonio Brown has been hit with a couple celebration violations this year. Guess that means he's fair game for a shot to the knees or head - no complaints.
Cam wants to run and not get hit. If Cam cant take the hits, he needs to stay put in the pocket or just get down. You cant have it both ways. I don't hear other QB's on a regular basis claiming of being a victim. It just doesn't seem to be an issue with anybody but Cam. Brady and Rogers know how to avoid the shots, but Cam seems to me to want special treatment. If Brady and Rogers tried the stuff Cam thinks he can get away with, they would be getting their block knocked off too.
I think he knows he's going to get hit - what he's protesting are the repeated hits to the head that don't get called. Just because you take off from the pocket DOESN'T mean you're suddenly fair game to take a shot to the noggin.
I agree with that assessment. But, as you know, sometimes in football it just happens that you get popped in the noggin. I still think Cam has brought this on himself. As long as he continues to run, someone is going to pop him and he will take some head shots and in my opinion, the head shots should always be called. Having said that, the officiating is shotty to begin with, so, Cam better learn that running with the football in todays NFL might be dangerous to ones health, lol.
From an article written in October of this season: Any of those 11 been crying to the media? Hell Ben has been a punching bag for the league for years because of his size im sure he would love to get the Tom Brady treatment to but it isnt going to happen so he doesnt whine about it.
Accent the words "from the league's perspective." They sure as sh1t ain't gonna say, "yeah, we've missed a whole bunch of instances of illegal contact," especially in this day and age of protecting the QB and guarding against head shots. Newton took no fewer than 4 hits to the head opening day against Denver, and only one was flagged. So I have to take "the league's perspective" with a grain of salt.
Big game for the Giants tonight, they need to walk the walk and talk the talk if they are a true contender.
First off they are admitting to having missed calls they do it all the time. Secondly those 4 hits to the head how many of them had he turned into a runner? Thirdly again go back to the list and see how many more of them are complaining. Only one guy is crying. They had former Ravens coach Brian Billick on Mike and Mike this morning and they asked him about should it be the coaches job or the players job to complain. Not only did he say the player shouldn't complain to the refs but the coach shouldn't either and here is why. He said when he was coaching in the pre-game meeting with Refs he would mention hey this team does a lot of holding keep an eye out for that. What he found was that if complained about holding his team got called for more holding. If he complained about illegal formations his team got called more for illegal formations. His take is that by Cam complaining he is just putting himself at further risk. When Cam whines and yes he is whining he is basically telling the refs they are not doing their job. The refs being human take exception to that and thus are even less likely to call a hit on Cam. Is it right probably not but Cam should just shut his pie hole and play. If he cant do that maybe football isnt for him.
Philly bailed out of the heat they deserved for the dumbest play call of the season throwing for the endzone on 3rd and 5 for the game.
Opinion. Rex will be fired and offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn will be promoted to HC. The offense works and nothing else.
Terry Pegula does not really need any excuse to axe Rex; Ryan earned it. But the Bills will be motivated to retain Lynn. If he's not promoted to HC some other team probably would.
