The xp after you score a TD you have a choice of going for 1 point from the 2 yard line or 2 points from the 5 yard line or 3 points from 10 yard line some games could be interesting,but I like the AAF overtime rule better

IMHO, the 3 point conversion makes little sense. It can be argued that it's easier to get into the end zone from the 10 yard line than from the 5 yard line due to the extra 5 yards of "maneuvering room" afforded to the offense and the additional 5 yards of turf that has to be covered by the defense.

 

When did he prove to be anywhere near worth this?

Jets sign Ty Montgomery...

The Jets signed Le'Veon Bell early in free agency and now they’ve signed another running back to back him up during the 2019 season.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Jets have signed former Packer and Raven Ty Montgomery to a one-year deal. Montgomery visited with the team on Thursday and was set to visit the Dolphins on Friday, but Miami will have to look elsewhere for backfield help.

Montgomery opened last season with the Packers, but was traded to Baltimore in late October after fumbling on a kickoff return he took out of the end zone in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Rams. Montgomery had been told to take a knee by the coaching staff.

Montgomery was a Packers third-round pick in 2015 as a wide receiver, but moved to running back the next season. He has 192 carries for 932 yards and seven touchdowns and 107 catches for 892 yards and three touchdowns over the course of his career.

He joins Elijah McGuire and Trenton Cannon as backups to Bell. (PFT)

Chargers, Saints will hold joint practices again...

Saints coach Sean Payton loves joint practices, and the team again will work against the Chargers during the preseason.

New Orleans practiced against the Chargers the past two preseasons and will again, Payton said Thursday.

“Our plan would be to have joint practices with the Chargers,” Payton said on WWL Radio. “We haven’t set specific dates, but that’s what we’re planning to do.”

The Saints play the Chargers at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., the third consecutive preseason the teams have met in Southern California. CBS will televise the game nationally on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. ET.

New Orleans also has practiced with the Texans, and it has shared practice time with the Patriots in the recent past as well.

 

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette‘s failure to pay a speeding ticket he got last year led to his arrest in Jacksonville on Thursday.

According to a booking report from the Jackonville Sheriff’s Office, Fournette was arrested for knowingly driving on a suspended license along with the speeding violation. Per multiple reports, his license was suspended after he failed to pay a speeding ticket he received last November.

Fournette was released on a $1,500 bond and the team issued a statement about the arrest.

“The Jacksonville Jaguars are aware of the situation involving running back Leonard Fournette and are continuing to gather more information. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

Fournette missed eight games in 2018 due to injury and a suspension for leaving the bench to join in a fight during a game against the Bills. That suspension led the team to void the remaining guarantees in his contract, although Fournette is challenging that decision. Thursday’s arrest could open the door to another round of discipline from the league under the Personal Conduct Policy... (per, PFT)

Its not like Leonard committed some god-awful travesty, its just to me strange how he stopped killing it on the ground and gets in off-field trouble of sorts. Anyway, im not perfect either.
